Filtrete 12x12x1 Air Filters 6-Pack — MPR 300 (MERV 5), Pleated 1-Inch for Dust & Lint

Filtrete 12x12x1 MPR 300 (MERV 5) is a 6-pack of pleated 1-inch HVAC filters engineered to trap lint, household dust, and dust-mite debris while maintaining airflow for furnaces and air conditioners.

This six-count set of Filtrete 12x12x1 air filters (actual dimensions 11.81" x 11.81" x 0.81") uses Filtrete's proprietary 3-in-1 pleated media to capture countless common household particles. Rated MPR 300 and MERV 5, these disposable filters are intended for standard HVAC systems and recommended for routine replacement every 90 days to help your heating and cooling equipment run efficiently. The pack gives you spares for multiple vents or future change-outs, plus compatibility with the Filtrete Smart App reminders.

How does this filter help my HVAC system perform better?

By collecting lint, dust, and larger particulate matter before it circulates through ducts and components, the Filtrete pleated media reduces build-up on coils and blower parts. Cleaner internal components help maintain airflow and can support steady system performance between professional service visits.

• Pleated construction increases surface area for particle capture without excessive airflow restriction.
• MPR 300 / MERV 5 rating targets common household debris and dust mite fragments.
• Disposable design avoids the loss of efficiency that can occur with washable or clogged filters.
• Recommended change interval (every 90 days) keeps filtration consistent.

Will this size fit my furnace or air conditioner cabinet?

These filters are made for units that accept nominal 12x12x1 filters, with precise dimensions of 11.81" x 11.81" x 0.81"—always verify your equipment slot size before purchasing. The thin 1-inch thickness fits most standard return grilles and filter slots used in residential HVAC setups.

• Actual dimensions provided to avoid fit surprises.
• Designed for standard furnace, air handler, and window/through-the-wall units requiring 12x12x1 filters.
• Use in multi-zone homes by placing filters in several return locations.

How often should I change these Filtrete filters and can I get reminders?

Filtrete recommends replacing these pleated filters at least every 90 days for typical household conditions; more frequent changes may be needed in homes with pets, smokers, or high dust. The Filtrete Smart App (iOS and Android) can set 30-, 60-, or 90-day reminders so you don’t forget scheduled replacements.

• Standard recommendation: change every 90 days for average use.
• Shorten interval for pet owners, allergy concerns, or high-traffic homes.
• Smart App reminders available to keep replacement on schedule.

What distinguishes Filtrete 3-in-1 technology from other basic filters?

Filtrete's 3-in-1 media combines pleated mechanical capture with engineered fibers to pull in and retain particles while allowing air to move through. Compared to flat fiberglass or non-electrostatic washes, the pleated media offers more surface area and a higher practical capture rate for everyday household particles.

• Pleated media increases capture area without major airflow loss.
• Engineered fibers help retain particles that would pass simpler filters.
• Designed to outperform washable and some non-electrostatic options.

Who this is for: homeowners and renters with standard 12x12x1 filter slots who want an affordable, grab-and-replace solution to reduce common household dust and debris. This six-pack suits people who prefer stocked spares, households that follow a scheduled maintenance routine, or anyone using multiple filter locations in their home. It’s a practical choice when you need a straightforward, reliable pleated filter rated for everyday use without the cost or complexity of higher-MERV specialty media.
