Evapolar evaCHILL Portable Evaporative Air Cooler – Grey, USB 5V Personal Desk Fan with Basalt-Fiber Cartridge

Evapolar evaCHILL is a compact, USB-powered evaporative air cooler that delivers a cool, humidified breeze for one person without the power draw of a full-size AC.

Small and lightweight, the evaCHILL uses evaporative cooling to lower the air temperature directly around you, add gentle humidity, and filter large particles. It’s designed for personal comfort zones — a desk, bedside, car seat, or tent — and is most effective in dry to moderately humid environments. The unit features a basalt-fiber cooling cartridge, four fan speeds, one-button control, and runs on 5V USB power for true portability.

How quickly will I feel cooling from the evaCHILL?

You can expect a noticeable difference within minutes when the device is placed within 3–5 feet of you. Evaporative cooling creates a direct airflow that feels cooler on skin, making it ideal for targeted personal comfort rather than whole-room temperature changes.

• Cooling effect felt within 3–5 feet of the airflow
• Four fan speeds let you control intensity
• Works fastest in low-humidity conditions (best below ~70% RH)

What power do I need and where can I use it?

The evaCHILL runs on 5V USB power and draws about 10W, so it works with power banks, laptops, car USB adapters, and standard USB chargers that supply at least 2A. Its low consumption makes it suitable for travel, camping, office desks, and bedside use without spiking energy bills.

• USB 5V, 2A recommended input (≈10W consumption)
• Compatible with power banks, laptops, car adapters
• Portable handle and lightweight chassis for easy transport

How does the evaCHILL keep air safe and comfortable?

The unit uses a basalt-fiber cartridge that absorbs water and traps larger dust particles while providing evaporative cooling. The cartridge material is long-lasting and breathable; small traces of basalt dust are normal, and the natural cartridge color may vary from white to dark green.

• Basalt-fiber cartridge humidifies and filters large particles
• Cartridge replacement keeps performance consistent
• Designed for personal cooling, not full-room filtration

How quiet and easy is it to maintain?

EvaCHILL runs quietly across four fan speeds and is simple to operate with a single control button. Maintenance consists of periodic cartridge replacement and keeping the water reservoir clean to maintain airflow and cooling efficiency.

• Low-noise operation suitable for office or bedside use
• One-button control and adjustable fan speeds
• Replaceable EvaBreeze cartridge and easy-to-clean reservoir

Who is this for: The evaCHILL is ideal for travelers, remote workers, students, drivers, campers, and anyone who needs an energy-efficient personal cooling solution. If you want a portable device that creates a cooler, slightly humidified breeze for one person—without the complexity or cost of a traditional air conditioner—this unit is a practical choice. It’s best used in dry to moderately humid climates and positioned close to the user for optimal effect.
