Escali Primo is a compact, two-button digital kitchen scale that delivers precise weight readings up to 11 lb (5,000 g) with 1 g / 0.05 oz increments for cooking, baking, and portion control.

The Escali Primo blends straightforward controls, a sealed display, and a rounded, easy-to-clean profile into a reliable countertop scale. It supports measurements in ounces, pounds:ounces, and grams and includes tare and automatic shut-off functions.

How accurate is the Escali Primo for recipes and portioning?

The Primo measures in 1 g (0.05 oz) increments and has a maximum capacity of 11 lb (5,000 g), so it handles everything from single-ingredient recipes to full-batch measurements. Its clear digital readout and tare ability make sequential weighing straightforward.

• Resolution: 1 g / 0.05 oz for fine-grain accuracy
• Capacity: up to 11 lb (5,000 g)
• Unit options: oz, lb:oz, and g
• Tare function for measuring multiple ingredients in one bowl

What makes the control panel and surface durable for kitchen use?

The display and buttons are sealed beneath a protective shield to resist spills and splatters, simplifying cleanup. The scale’s rounded edges and smooth platform design further reduce trapped debris and make wipedowns fast.

• Sealed control panel prevents moisture from reaching electronics
• Rounded, low-profile body reduces crevices where food can collect
• Optional stainless steel platform cover (sold separately) for dishwasher-safe use
• Compact footprint: 8.5 x 6 x 1.5 inches for easy storage

How easy is the Escali Primo to operate daily?

Operation is intentionally simple: two buttons provide power/unit selection and tare, so there’s little learning curve. An automatic shut-off feature conserves battery life by powering down the scale after four minutes of inactivity.

• Two-button control for quick power, unit, and tare functions
• Automatic shut-off after four minutes to extend battery life
• Bright digital display for immediate readings
• Runs on standard batteries (check included documentation for type)

Can the Primo handle different kitchen tasks like baking, portion control, and mailing?

Yes — the Primo’s fine resolution and versatile unit options make it suitable for baking precision, portioning meals, and approximate package weighing. While optimized for food use, the scale’s accuracy and tare make it useful for many small-weight tasks.

• Baking: precise ingredient measurements to follow recipes accurately
• Portion control: consistent serving sizes for nutrition tracking
• Small parcels: useful for estimating postage and lightweight items
• Everyday kitchen prep: chopping, mixing, and sequential ingredient weighing
