Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy 8.5x11 (50 Sheets) — Heavyweight, Fast-Dry High-Gloss

Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy (8.5" x 11", 50 sheets) is a heavyweight, instant-dry resin-coated paper designed to deliver sharp, high-gloss photographic prints that resist smudging and handle framing well.

Crafted for photographers, hobbyists and home offices that demand gallery-quality output from an inkjet printer, this bright-white glossy paper balances fast drying with a smooth finish to showcase vivid colors and crisp detail. It’s optimized for ink adhesion and color stability, producing prints that look professional straight from the printer and are suitable for display, portfolios, and special projects.

How does this paper improve photo print quality?

The resin-coated surface enhances color saturation and sharpness so images appear more lifelike and detailed. Its bright-white base increases contrast and helps darker tones stay rich without bleeding. The glossy finish gives highlights a reflective sheen that emphasizes clarity and depth.

• Resin coating for improved ink hold and sharper edges
• Bright-white base boosts contrast and color impact
• High-gloss surface elevates highlights and perceived sharpness
• Heavyweight stock reduces curl and feels substantial

Will prints dry quickly and resist smudges?

The paper is engineered for rapid ink absorption so prints are touch-dry soon after ejection from compatible inkjet printers. The finish helps repel light moisture and minimizes smearing during normal handling. While resilient, it should still be kept away from excessive water and oils for maximum longevity.

• Fast-drying coating suitable for immediate handling
• Surface resists smudging from fingerprints
• Water-resistant to incidental splashes, not waterproof
• Best results with recommended Epson pigment and dye inks

Which printers and projects are best suited for this paper?

Although optimized for specific Epson photo printers, this sheet performs well in many inkjet photo printers that accept heavyweight glossy paper. It’s ideal for framed prints, portfolios, greeting cards, and photographic proofs where a professional glossy appearance is desired. Use printer profiles or the photo/media settings for consistent color output.

• Works especially well with Epson Stylus Photo series and similar inkjets
• Great for framing, exhibitions, albums, and client proofs
• Compatible with color-managed workflows using ICC profiles
• 50-sheet packs offer value for small batch printing
