The Epson EcoTank ET-2988 is a wireless all-in-one refilling supertank printer that delivers long-lasting, low-cost color and black printing with easy-to-fill ink tanks and smart mobile connectivity.

The ET-2988 is a renewed Epson EcoTank designed to replace disposable cartridges with large refillable reservoirs and keyed EcoFit bottles. It combines a compact, family-friendly design with PrecisionCore Heat-Free print technology to offer faster output, a durable permanent printhead, and photo-quality results up to 4800 x 1200 dpi. With enough starter ink to cover years of typical home use, this model reduces interruptions and recurring cartridge purchases while supporting wireless printing from phones, tablets, and computers.

How much ink does the ET-2988 include and how long will it last?

The ET-2988 ships with high-capacity ink that can print thousands of pages before replacement is needed. Epson estimates the included ink yields up to several years of typical home printing, greatly cutting ongoing ink costs compared with cartridge-based printers.

• Included ink equivalent to thousands of pages: high black and color yields.
• Each replacement ink set approximates dozens of standard cartridges' worth.
• Keyed EcoFit bottles prevent color mix-ups during refills.

What connectivity and mobile printing options are supported?

The ET-2988 supports wired USB and wireless networking for flexible placement and easy sharing from multiple devices. Use Epson Smart Panel on mobile devices, or industry standards like Apple AirPrint and Mopria to print or scan directly from smartphones and tablets without a PC.

• Built-in Wi-Fi for network printing and scanning.
• Compatible with Epson Smart Panel app for setup and remote control.
• Supports AirPrint and Mopria for direct mobile printing.

What features improve day-to-day productivity?

The ET-2988 focuses on steady, low-maintenance performance with features that help families and home-office users handle everyday jobs. Fast first-page times and ISO-rated speeds reduce wait, while automatic double-sided printing and a 100-sheet tray minimize hands-on time.

• 15 ppm black / 8 ppm color ISO speeds for everyday documents.
• Auto duplex printing and a 100-sheet input tray for longer runs.
• 1.44" color display for straightforward navigation and status checks.

How is print quality and media support?

The ET-2988 delivers sharp text and detailed photos with up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi, suitable for home photos, school projects, reports, and creative prints. Its permanent printhead and multi-level color control help maintain consistent image quality across a variety of media.

• High resolution for crisp text and vibrant photos.
• Works with plain, photo, and specialty paper sizes and weights.
• PrecisionCore Heat-Free tech reduces warmup time and energy use.

Who is this for? The renewed Epson EcoTank ET-2988 is aimed at families, home offices, and anyone who wants to cut ink costs and hassle without sacrificing quality. It's ideal for users who print frequently, need mobile printing and scanning, and prefer an eco-conscious option that reduces cartridge waste.
