Epic Water Filters Pure replacement cartridge, 1-pack, removes fluoride & lead, 100 gal life

The Epic Pure replacement cartridge is a high-performance gravity-filter element that fits Epic Pure pitchers and removes fluoride, lead, PFAS/"forever chemicals," chlorine, microplastics and other common tap-water contaminants for up to 100 gallons.

Engineered for home and travel use, this Epic Water Filters Pure replacement uses patented dual-layer CoreXchange technology and upgraded pleated media to maximize surface area and filtration efficiency in gravity-fed pitchers. Independently tested to multiple standards and made in the USA from food-grade, BPA/BPS-free materials, the cartridge balances contaminant reduction, sustainability, and convenience. It replaces the inner component to cut plastic waste and provides clearer, better-tasting water for drinking and cooking.

How does this cartridge reduce common pollutants in tap water?

The cartridge combines mechanical and adsorptive filtration layers to trap particles and bind dissolved contaminants. Its pleated media increases contact time and surface area so more contaminants are captured compared with flat filters.

• Removes lead, chlorine, fluoride, PFAS (PFOA/PFOS), microplastics, and many industrial pollutants.
• Independent testing includes NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and evaluation against Standards 53, 401, P231, and P473.
• Dual-layer CoreXchange design with pleated filtration media for improved performance in gravity pitchers.

How long will one Epic Pure replacement cartridge last?

Each cartridge is rated for up to 100 gallons of filtration, which is generally about 3–4 months for typical household use. Actual lifespan depends on incoming water quality and daily volume filtered.

• Up to 100 gallons of filtered water per cartridge.
• Typical lifespan: approximately 3–4 months under normal conditions.
• Replace sooner if you notice slower flow or taste changes.

What materials and certifications back its safety and performance?

This Epic replacement is manufactured in the U.S. from food-grade components without BPA or BPS, using filtration media sourced from the U.S. and Japan. It’s independently tested against multiple standards to confirm reduction of dozens of contaminants.

• Made in the USA at Epic-operated facilities with premium international media.
• Constructed from 100% food-grade, BPA- and BPS-free materials.
• Certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and tested against Standards 53, 401, P231, and P473 for broad contaminant reduction.

What sustainability advantages does this replacement provide?

The cartridge’s replaceable inner design reduces the amount of single-use plastic compared with one-piece filters and reduces waste over time. This helps households cut reliance on bottled water while keeping disposal impact lower.

• Replaceable inner cartridge design can reduce plastic waste by up to 75% versus disposable units.
• Each filter can prevent over 1,000 single-use plastic bottles from landfill, depending on usage.
• Compact gravity design requires no electricity and is suitable for travel and emergency storage.

Who is this for? Homeowners, renters, and travelers who use Epic Pure pitchers and want a tested, American-made cartridge that balances thorough contaminant reduction, affordability, and lower waste. It’s a practical choice for people seeking better-tasting drinking water, parents wanting safer water for cooking, or anyone looking to reduce bottled-water consumption without adding complex plumbing.
