Elmer's X-ACTO Crayon Pro Electric Sharpener — Auto-Peeling, SafeStart Motor, Includes Extra Blade

The X-ACTO Crayon Pro Electric Sharpener by Elmer's is an automatic crayon sharpener that peels paper, restores tip shape, and safely shuts off when opened, making quick work of worn crayons for home or classroom use.

Whether you manage a busy classroom, organize art time at home, or run an after-school program, keeping crayons ready to color saves time and frustration. The X-ACTO Crayon Pro streamlines crayon maintenance: its cutting mechanism restores crayon tips to a usable point while an auto-peeling feature removes paper wrappers. Designed for frequent use, it comes with an extra blade cartridge and a small cleaning brush so maintenance is simple and downtime is minimized.

How does the auto-peeling function simplify classroom craft time?

The built-in auto-peeling action removes crayon paper sleeves as the crayon is sharpened, eliminating the fiddly step of manually unwrapping. That makes transitions faster and keeps small hands focused on drawing rather than prep work.

• Automatically peels paper wrappers while sharpening
• Reduces wasteful tearing that can shorten crayons
• Saves teacher and caregiver time during craft sessions

What safety features protect children and keep the sharpener running?

Safety is prioritized with a SafeStart motor that immediately stops when the shaving bin is removed, preventing accidental operation. The compact design and predictable operation make it suitable for supervised use by older children and ideal for environments where safety and reliability matter.

• SafeStart motor cuts power when the shavings container is opened
• Simple on/off operation reduces misuse
• Durable build for repeated classroom use

How easy is it to maintain and replace cutting parts?

Maintenance is straightforward: the sharpener includes an extra blade cartridge and a small cleaning brush so you can swap parts and clear shavings without tools. Regular replacement of the cartridge keeps cuts clean and preserves crayon color and shape over time.

• Includes one extra blade cartridge for quick replacement
• Cleaning brush removes residue and paper bits from the mechanism
• Tool-free access to the shaving bin for emptying and cleaning

Will it sharpen different crayon sizes and types effectively?

The unit is engineered for common crayon dimensions used in classrooms and homes, restoring tips close to their original point while maintaining pigment. It works best with standard wax crayons; specialty or unusually sized crayons may require testing to confirm fit.

• Designed for standard classroom and household crayons
• Cuts and shapes without overly thinning the crayon body
• Preserves color quality by producing clean shavings

Who this is for: teachers, daycare staff, homeschool parents, art program coordinators, and busy households that want crayons ready to use without extra prep. If you need a reliable, safe, and low-maintenance way to revive worn crayons and speed up art time, the Elmer's X-ACTO Crayon Pro Electric Sharpener is built to meet those needs with classroom-ready durability and simple upkeep.
