E-POWIND MacBook Pro Charger 60W L-Tip for 13-inch (Pre-2013) Compact Foldable Magnetic Adapter

The E-POWIND 60W L-tip charger is a compact, magnetic power adapter designed to reliably charge 13-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models produced before 2013.

Whether you need a replacement for an older MacBook Pro A1278 or a compact travel adapter, this E-POWIND power brick recreates the original 16.5V 3.65A output in a smaller, foldable package. It uses the classic L-shaped magnetic connector that safely detaches under strain, includes thermal management to resist overheating, and carries CE and RoHS certifications for electrical safety. Before purchasing, confirm your MacBook model number to ensure compatibility, since this adapter is not suited for MacBook Air or Pro models released in 2013 or later.

How do I confirm this charger fits my MacBook?

Check your laptop’s model number (printed on the underside or in About This Mac). This adapter matches the older 13-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro families that use the L-tip connector and part numbers like A1278, A1181, A1184, A1185, A1344, A1330, and A1342. It is the first-generation charger design, not the later T-tip or MagSafe 2 styles.

• Compatible with mid-2012, late-2011, early-2011, mid-2010, late-2009 13" models
• Not compatible with MacBook Air or MacBook Pro models from 2013 onward
• Confirm part number (A1278, A1181, etc.) before ordering

What safety and performance features does it include?

The E-POWIND charger includes over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protections, plus a built-in heat sink that helps dissipate heat for stable operation. It delivers the same rated power as the original first-generation 60W adapter and is CE and RoHS certified, helping maintain safe charging behavior under normal use.

• Output: 16.5V ⎓ 3.65A (60W)
• Protections: over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit
• Thermal design: integrated heat sink for cooler operation
• Certifications: CE and RoHS compliant

How portable and user-friendly is this charger for travel?

This adapter is designed to be smaller and lighter than many originals, with a 90° foldable AC plug for compact storage. Its magnetic L-tip connector makes connecting quick and prevents cable damage if the cord is tugged, which is especially handy in cramped or mobile environments.

• Compact housing fits into pockets or small compartments
• Foldable plug reduces bulk when packed
• Magnetic L-tip detaches safely under strain to protect ports and cable

Will this charger behave like the original Apple adapter?

Functionally, it matches the first-generation 60W adapter’s voltage and current output and is built to deliver similar performance under standard conditions. It’s constructed from premium materials and designed to maintain stable charging while protecting your device through multiple safety mechanisms.

• Equivalent 60W power delivery to original first-generation adapter
• Durable build and reinforced connector for long-term use
• Magnetic guidance helps seat the connector for proper contact

Who is this for? This E-POWIND 60W L-tip charger is intended for owners of older 13-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models (pre-2013) who want a compact, travel-friendly replacement that preserves the original power specifications. It suits students, field technicians, vintage Mac collectors, and anyone needing a reliable spare charger for legacy Apple laptops. If you have a newer MacBook Air or Pro from 2013 onward, choose a charger designed for MagSafe 2 or USB-C instead.
