Dr. Killigan's Premium Clothing Moth Traps are pre-baited, sticky pheromone traps designed to intercept male clothing moths and break the breeding cycle before your wool, cashmere, fur, or carpets suffer damage.
These ready-to-use traps combine a species-specific pheromone lure with a strong adhesive in an attractive black housing so you can place them openly in closets, storage areas, or under furniture. They target the two most common fabric-munching moths—Tineola bisselliella (webbing clothes moth) and Tinea pellionella (case-bearing clothes moth)—and are formulated for monitoring and prevention rather than for use with pantry or food moth problems.
The traps use sex pheromones to attract male moths, which become stuck to the adhesive, reducing successful mating and slowing population growth. Because the lure is specific to clothing moth species, the traps are efficient at intercepting the right targets without wasting attractant on non-target insects.
Position traps in dark, undisturbed locations where adult moths are most active: inside closets, near garment storage, under beds, and along baseboards. For larger rooms or long wardrobes, space traps every few feet to create a detection and interception net.
Yes — the traps are non-toxic and have the pheromone embedded directly in the adhesive, so there are no sprays, powders, or airborne chemicals. Because they simply capture moths on a sticky surface, they’re a clean option for closets and living spaces when used as directed.
Setup is simple: unfold the trap, remove the peel-off liner, and fold or hang according to the included instructions. Dr. Killigan’s offers two distinct aesthetic designs for its 6-pack option, both carrying the same effective pheromone and adhesive—choose the look that fits your space.
Who is this for? These traps are ideal for homeowners, renters, vintage collectors, and storage managers who want a non-toxic, low-maintenance way to monitor and reduce clothing moth populations before costly textile damage occurs. They’re an excellent preventive tool to use alongside regular cleaning, seasonal inspections, and targeted treatments when larvae are found, but they are not intended as the sole solution for heavy, established infestations that may need professional intervention.
Q: Will these traps work for pantry or food moths?
A: No. These traps are formulated for clothing moths only and will not control pantry or food moth species.
Q: How often should I replace the traps?
A: Replace when the adhesive is full or every few months; more often in heavy moth activity for best results.
