Downy In-Wash Scent Booster Beads — April Fresh, 30.1 oz, Long-Lasting Freshness

Downy April Fresh In-Wash Scent Booster Beads are fragranced polymer beads you add to the wash to give clothing a long-lasting springtime scent from wash until wear.

These 30.1 oz beads are formulated to release layered April Fresh aroma throughout the laundry process so garments keep a noticeable, pleasant scent longer than detergent alone. From the simple pre-wash toss to the wearable fragrance that follows, the beads are compatible with all machines and fabrics, and they pair easily with Downy liquid softeners or dryer sheets for a tailored refresh routine.

How do the scent beads work in a regular laundry routine?

The beads are water-soluble fragrance capsules that disperse during the wash and deposit scent onto fibers; scent is then released gradually while clothes are worn. Use is straightforward: add a measured capful into the drum before loading clothes to ensure even distribution.

• Measure one capful (adjust for load size or desired intensity).
• Place beads directly into the machine drum prior to adding laundry.
• Safe for all fabric types and compatible with both high-efficiency and standard washers.

Will the April Fresh scent overpower my detergent or fabric softener?

The April Fresh beads are designed to complement detergent and fabric softener rather than mask them. If you use multiple scented products, you can fine-tune fragrance strength by reducing the bead amount or selecting unscented detergent or softener.

• Use less than a full capful for subtle scent.
• Combine with scent-free detergent to emphasize April Fresh aroma.
• Layer with matching Downy softener or sheets for a more pronounced fragrance effect.

How long does the fragrance last on clothing after washing?

The formulated beads extend noticeable freshness well beyond what detergent alone typically achieves, releasing scent during wear and storage. Exact longevity varies by fabric type, activity level, and environmental conditions, but many users report a lasting fresh aroma throughout the day under normal use.

• Beads deposit scent molecules into fabric fibers during wash.
• Fragrance releases gradually while clothes are worn or stored.
• Layering with other Downy products can increase perceived longevity.

Are these beads safe for all washers and fabrics?

Yes — the beads are formulated to dissolve and work with both high-efficiency and conventional washing machines and are safe on typical textiles. For delicate or specialty items, follow garment care labels and consider using fewer beads or a gentler cycle.

• Compatible with HE and standard machines.
• Safe on cotton, synthetics, blends, and most everyday fibers.
• Follow garment label instructions for delicates and specialty fabrics.
