DIAPHANORNIS 12" Guillotine Paper Cutter — 12" Cutting Length, 12-Sheet Capacity, Safety Guard & Blade Lock

DIAPHANORNIS 12" heavy-duty guillotine paper cutter is a manual paper trimmer that cleanly slices up to 12 sheets at once with a safety guard and blade lock for everyday office, craft, and studio use.

This precision paper cutter combines a 12" cutting length, a sturdy 12" x 9" base and dual-scale ruler markings to help you align and trim projects quickly and accurately. Built for offices, homes, print shops and photo studios, the DIAPHANORNIS trimmer balances cutting power with safety features such as an enclosed blade arm, a safety latch, anti-slip feet and a self-supporting guard. The unit measures about 14.8 x 10.75 x 2.2 inches and is made to handle cardstock, photos, vinyl paper and common office stocks.

How accurate are the cuts and how do I align materials?

The cutter includes 1/2-inch gridlines and a dual-scale ruler (inches and centimeters) printed on the base to make repeatable alignment simple. The solid base and six anti-slip rubber feet keep the trimmer steady while you square up the material for a straight edge every time.

• 12" x 9" rigid cutting platform for stable support
• 1/2-inch gridlines plus inch and centimeter ruler for precise layout
• Six anti-slip feet to prevent shifting during cuts
• Clear safety guard that maintains visibility of your alignment

What materials and volume can this cutter handle?

Designed as a multifunctional trimmer, it slices through paper stocks used in scrapbooking, photo trimming, business card cutting and light vinyl. The blade is rated to cut up to 12 sheets of standard 20-16 lb paper in a single pass, making it suitable for routine office batching and hobby work.

• Up to 12 sheets (20–16 lb) per cut
• Suitable for cardstock, cardboard, photos, labels, and vinyl papers
• Self-sharpening stainless steel blade for consistent edges
• Compact 14.8 x 10.75 x 2.2-inch footprint for small workspaces

How safe and durable is the DIAPHANORNIS paper trimmer?

Safety is built into the design: a self-supporting guard keeps fingers away from the blade arm, and a blade lock secures the cutting arm when not in use. The ergonomic handle and curved blade reduce required cutting force and extend blade life, while a stainless steel cutting edge offers long-term durability.

• Enclosed blade arm with a clear safety guard to prevent accidental contact
• Blade lock/safety latch secures the arm when stored
• Ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during repetitive cuts
• Self-sharpening stainless steel blade for sustained performance

What convenience features help with day-to-day use?

The cutter includes practical touches to speed workflow and reduce clutter. A small storage compartment keeps paperclips, binder clips or trim scraps at hand, while anti-slip pads and a compact layout make it easy to position on desks or craft tables.

• Paperclip/storage compartment for small accessories and waste
• Compact size fits on desks, craft tables, and studio counters
• Lightweight but sturdy construction for easy repositioning
• Visible ruler and gridlines for quick measurements without extra tools
