DEWALT 20V MAX XR 7-1/4 in Circular Saw (DCS590B) — Brushless, 5,500 RPM & 57° Bevel, Tool Only

Engineered for carpenters and jobsite professionals who need cordless performance close to corded tools, this DEWALT circular saw combines a brushless motor with a right-blade orientation and top-handle layout for balanced control during tough cuts. It produces high torque and fast blade speed to tackle dense framing lumber, plywood, and sheet goods while its electronic braking and indexed bevel stops keep cuts accurate and workflow efficient.

How much cutting power and runtime can I expect?

The brushless motor optimizes output and battery draw, producing high mechanical work output so you can complete more cuts per charge compared with older 20V models. Under typical jobsite loads it maintains consistent RPMs and torque to slice through hardwoods and thick panels.

• Up to 5,500 RPM (no-load) for fast plunge and through cuts.
• High mechanical work output suitable for demanding applications.
• Designed to achieve dozens to hundreds of cuts per charge depending on battery capacity.

What cutting capacities and angles does this saw support?

This 7-1/4" saw provides a practical depth range for framing and finish tasks, plus wide bevel capability for compound and mitered work. Depth and angle adjustments are tool-free and repeatable to common construction angles.

• Maximum depth of cut: approximately 2-9/16 inches at 90°.
• Maximum depth at 45°: around 2 inches for bevel cuts.
• Bevel range up to 57° with positive stops at 45° and 22.5° for fast setup.

What safety and control features help maintain cut quality?

Built to minimize kickback and reduce wasted motion, the saw includes an electronic blade brake and a top-handle layout that improves sightlines along the cut. The blade-right configuration gives clear view of cut line for right-handed users and complements common jobsite setups.

• Electronic brake stops blade quickly after trigger release for safer handling.
• Top handle and right-blade orientation enhance cut visibility and balance.
• Durable shoe and guards designed to maintain alignment under jobsite wear.
