Depets Large Cat Door — 4-Way Locking Weatherproof Pet Flap, Clear Swing Flap (Outer 9.9" x 9.2")

Depets Large Cat Door is a weather-resistant, four-way locking pet flap sized for medium-to-large cats, designed to fit doors and windows with a cut-out of about 7.7" x 8.3".

This pet door combines a sturdy ABS frame, a transparent swing flap and a simple four-mode lock to give pets controlled access while keeping weather and noise to a minimum. It’s made for homeowners who want an easy-to-install solution for interior or exterior doors and for cats up to roughly 17.6 lb with a waist circumference under 23.6". The clear flap lets your cat see what's on the other side, and the brush seal softens closing sounds, while the water-resistant exterior helps protect against rain and drafts.

How does the four-way locking system help my routine?

The Depets cat door offers four independent positions: in-only, out-only, both directions, and fully locked. You can switch modes quickly to suit training times, weather, or household schedules without removing the flap. This gives you control over when your cat can leave or return, useful for nighttime locking or supervised outdoor sessions.

• Four switch positions for tailored access control
• Manual toggles that change modes quickly without tools
• Useful for timed training, visitors, or weather-based restrictions

Will this pet door fit my door or window opening?

Measure before cutting: the outer frame sits roughly 9.25" × 9.92" and the inner opening is about 7.08" × 7.48". The recommended cut-out required is approximately 7.7" × 8.3". It’s designed for pets weighing less than 17.64 lb and with a waist circumference below 23.62".

• Outer frame: about 9.25" W × 9.92" H × 2.16" D
• Internal flap opening: about 7.08" W × 7.48" H
• Suggested cut-out: roughly 7.7" W × 8.3" H for proper fit

Is the Depets flap suitable for outdoor use and varying weather?

The door is built from weather-resistant ABS plastic and includes an exterior screen that helps repel water. A transparent flap plus a brush strip minimize drafts and lower the noise when your pet pushes through. While it’s designed to reduce exposure to the elements, additional sealing or storm-proofing may be desired in extremely harsh climates.

• ABS plastic frame resists weather and holds up to regular use
• Transparent flap maintains visibility and reduces hesitation
• Brush strip dampens noise and helps block drafts

How difficult is installation and what tools do I need?

Depets includes step-by-step instructions so an average DIYer can install the unit in doors, windows, or cupboards. Allow time for careful measuring to ensure a clean, airtight fit.
