Dentalife Dental Dog Treats Daily Oral Care Chews — Small/Medium 60 ct, VOHC-accepted tartar control

These Dentalife chews from Purina were developed for adult dogs in the small and medium size range (about 20–40 lbs). The chews combine a resilient, chewy texture and a ridged shape to reach teeth and gumline crevices while your dog enjoys a savory chicken flavor. Made in U.S. facilities without artificial colors or flavors and accepted by the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC), they offer a convenient daily reward that supports routine oral hygiene.

How do these chews work to reduce tartar buildup?

The chews use a combination of texture and design to mechanically scrub tooth surfaces as the dog gnaws. Their pliable yet firm composition lets teeth sink in, while the multiple ridges increase contact with hard-to-reach areas around the gumline. The product is clinically shown to lower tartar accumulation when used as part of a regular feeding routine.

• Eight ridges target crevices and rear teeth.
• Chewy texture creates friction to remove plaque deposits.
• Daily use supports ongoing tartar control.

Will my small or medium dog enjoy the flavor and texture?

Most dogs respond well to the chicken taste and chewy mouthfeel, which helps keep them engaged long enough for the chew to clean. The formula avoids artificial flavors and colors, making it a straightforward treat option for training or daily rewards. The treat size and consistency are tailored to small and medium adult dogs, helping ensure a satisfying chew session.

• Chicken-flavored to increase palatability.
• No artificial colors or flavors added.
• Sized for dogs approximately 20–40 lbs.

Are these safe and recommended by professionals?

Purina DentaLife chews carry the VOHC Accepted seal, indicating they meet established standards for plaque and tartar reduction when used as directed. They are produced in U.S. facilities following Purina’s quality controls. As with any chew, supervise your dog and consult your veterinarian if your pet has special dietary needs or dental issues.

• VOHC Accepted for plaque/tartar control evidence.
• Manufactured in USA facilities under quality processes.
• Recommended to use under supervision and per package guidance.

How should I give these treats and how often?

Offer one DentaLife chew daily as a treat or reward, following package sizing recommendations for your dog’s weight. Ensure fresh water is available and monitor chewing to prevent swallowing large pieces. Combine chews with routine veterinary exams and regular tooth care for the best long-term oral health support.

• Give one chew per day as a reward or after meals.
• Always provide fresh water and supervise during chewing.
• Use alongside regular vet checkups and oral care habits.

Who is this for: Purina DentaLife Daily Oral Care chews are best for owners of adult small and medium dogs (about 20–40 lbs) who want a simple, tasty daily treat that also helps reduce tartar. They suit caretakers seeking VOHC-accepted, U.S.-made options without artificial colors or flavors and who prefer a treat that works mechanically while their dog enjoys the flavor. If your dog has specific health or dietary restrictions, check with your veterinarian before introducing a new chew.
