Costa Farms Money Tree Live Indoor Plant — 12–16" Braided Trunk, Pet-Safe Decorative Pot

The Costa Farms Money Tree (Pachira aquatica) is a medium-sized, pet-safe indoor houseplant with a braided trunk and lush green canopy that adds decorative style and low-maintenance greenery to tabletops and small spaces.

This hand-selected Money Tree arrives pre-potted in a chic decorative planter and ships directly from the nursery in reinforced packaging to protect the plant and soil. With an artful braided trunk and bright leaves, it’s chosen frequently as a housewarming or office gift because it’s both attractive and easy to care for. The plant’s compact 12–16 inch size makes it a quick way to bring natural texture and a polished look to shelves, desks, entryways, and living rooms without repotting or elaborate upkeep.

How should I care for my Money Tree to keep it healthy?

Place the plant in bright, indirect light and allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid direct afternoon sun that can scorch leaves, and water less in cooler months. Routine dusting of leaves and occasional rotation helps even growth.

• Light: bright, indirect; avoid harsh direct sun
• Water: water thoroughly then wait until top soil dries
• Soil and drainage: well-draining potting mix and a planter with drainage
• Temperature: thrives in average indoor temperatures (60–75°F)

Is the Money Tree safe around pets and children?

Costa Farms sells this Money Tree as pet-friendly and it is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a good choice for households with pets. Still, it’s best kept out of reach to prevent accidental chewing or ingestion of any plant material. The plant’s upright growth habit keeps foliage elevated and less accessible.

• Certified non-toxic to cats and dogs
• Upright form keeps leaves higher than many floor plants
• Keep out of reach as a general safety precaution

What makes this Money Tree a good gift or decor piece?

The braided trunk and full, hand-pruned canopy give the plant a sculptural, refined appearance that complements modern, boho, and minimalist interiors. It’s shipped ready to display in a decorative pot, so it arrives gift-ready without additional styling. Many people choose it for occasions like new homes, offices, and celebratory events because of its symbolic association with good fortune.

• Arrives pre-potted in a decorative planter—no repotting needed
• Compact 12–16 inch size fits shelves, desks, and side tables
• Symbolic aesthetic for gifting and celebrations

What should I expect when my plant arrives by mail?

Costa Farms prepares each Money Tree in transit-safe materials to preserve moisture and minimize damage during shipment. Slight natural variation in leaf shape or trunk braid is normal, and the company provides a satisfaction guarantee if a plant arrives beyond recovery. Allow newly delivered plants to rest in indirect light and water sparingly for the first 24 hours.

• Transit-safe packaging to protect soil and foliage
• Each plant is hand-selected and may vary slightly
• Support available and refund policy if arrival is unsalvageable
