Cosco Topside Backless Booster Seat Grape — Lightweight, Extra‑Padded Booster for 40–100 lbs

The Cosco Topside Backless Booster is a lightweight, extra-padded booster seat that raises children 40–100 lbs to help seatbelts fit correctly while staying compact for family travel.

The Topside Backless Booster from Cosco is built to deliver a comfortable, portable seating solution for older toddlers and young children. With plush padding and a seat-friendly base, it lifts kids 43"–57" so the vehicle lap and shoulder belt align across the hips and chest. Its low-weight construction makes swapping the booster between cars or taking it on trips fast and easy, and the hand-washable fabric cover simplifies cleanup after snacks or spills.

How does this booster help the seatbelt sit correctly?

The Topside raises a child to the proper height so the lap belt rests low across the hips and the shoulder belt crosses the middle of the shoulder. That positioning reduces slippage and helps keep the belt comfortable for longer rides.

• Designed for children 40–100 lbs and 43"–57" tall
• Backless profile positions vehicle belt without extra hardware
• Plush pad maintains a comfortable seating surface while lifting height

Is the Topside easy to move between cars and travel with?

Yes — the Topside is intentionally lightweight and compact so parents can transfer it quickly from one vehicle to another or store it on the go. Its small footprint fits into most trunks and backseats without taking up excessive space.

• Low weight for effortless carrying and swapping
• Compact base that won’t gouge or scuff vehicle upholstery
• Simple placement using the car’s existing seatbelt

How comfortable and easy to keep clean is the seat?

Cosco added extra-plush padding to the Topside for a softer ride during school runs or longer trips. The cover is removable and hand-washable, letting you refresh the fabric after spills while preserving the cushion’s shape.

• Extra-plush pad for improved comfort on rides
• Hand-washable fabric cover for routine cleaning
• Seat-friendly base helps avoid permanent marks on vehicle seats

What safety and sizing guidance should I follow?

The Topside is intended for children who meet the weight and height criteria listed by Cosco. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer’s belt routing instructions and local laws for booster-seat use, and verify that the lap and shoulder belt lie correctly on the child every trip.

• For children weighing 40–100 lbs and 43"–57" tall
• Use the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt as directed by the car and booster instructions
• Check belt fit each time to maintain proper positioning

Who is this for? Families who need a straightforward, portable booster for older toddlers and grade-school children will find the Cosco Topside fits daily life well. It’s ideal for caregivers who switch seats between vehicles, for grandparents or carpooling parents, and for anyone who wants a padded, low-profile booster that keeps vehicle upholstery protected and stays simple to clean.
