How quickly will I see clearer spa water after using these granules?

These granules are formulated to dissolve rapidly so you’ll notice improved clarity soon after adding the product and circulating the water. For best results, add with the pump running and allow the filter to run for at least 20–30 minutes.

• Fast-dissolving formula for near-immediate dispersion
• Use with filtration and circulation for visible clarity
• Ideal for routine shock or weekly maintenance doses

Will the brominating granules make my spa smell like chlorine?

This product is designed for low-odor sanitization, offering an alternative to strong chlorine smells commonly associated with pool treatments. Proper dosing and balanced water reduce noticeable odors while keeping the water comfortable for soaking.

• Low-odor bromine chemistry for less harsh smell
• Maintains comfortable spa experience for users
• Complement with regular water testing to control odor sources

How do I use the granules to maintain safe bromine levels?

Test your spa water and aim for a bromine concentration of approximately 3–6 ppm and pH between 7.2 and 7.6. Add measured granules according to your spa’s volume, circulate with the pump on, and retest after stabilization to adjust dosing as needed.

• Target bromine: 3–6 ppm; pH: 7.2–7.6
• Apply with pump running to ensure even distribution
• Use CLOROX Pool App for tailored dosing recommendations

Can these granules prevent bacteria in hot water environments?

While no sanitizer can promise total elimination of all microorganisms at all times, brominating granules are formulated to effectively sanitize spa water and help control bacteria common in warm, wet conditions. Regular, correct use combined with filtration and routine testing helps maintain a healthier soaking environment.

• Effective against common spa bacteria when used properly
• Works best as part of a regular maintenance schedule
• Combine with testing and balanced chemistry for optimal protection
