CKCOEO Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repellent - Green 1-Pack, Motion-Activated IP65 Waterproof with Strobe LEDs

CKCOEO Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repellent is a weatherproof, motion-activated device that uses ultrasonic sound and flashing LEDs to discourage deer, cats, dogs, squirrels, raccoons, rabbits and other small animals from entering your yard.

If you want a hands-off way to protect vegetable beds, lawns, fruit trees or ornamental plantings, this solar-powered repeller offers a no-contact approach that runs autonomously after installation. It combines a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with ultrasonic pulses and strobe lighting so the unit activates only when an animal is detected, conserving energy while minimizing disturbance to people.

How does the motion detection work and when will the device activate?

The repeller uses a PIR sensor with about a 150-degree detection angle and a 25–30 foot range. When motion is picked up, the unit emits ultrasonic sound bursts and flashes an LED strobe for an initial active period, then returns to standby until the next trigger. This on-demand operation prolongs battery life while targeting only approaching animals.

• 150-degree infrared detection covers wide approaches.
• 25–30 ft detection distance for most small to medium animals.
• Initial active cycle includes ultrasonic bursts and flashing LEDs.
• Standby mode between activations preserves solar charge.

Is the unit suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions?

Yes — the CKCOEO repeller is constructed from durable ABS plastic and rated IP65 for water resistance, so it withstands rain and typical outdoor exposure. The integrated solar panel recharges internal power, though full sun exposure for initial charging is recommended for best performance.

• IP65 waterproof housing tolerates rain and splashes.
• Solar-charged: charge in direct sunlight, especially before first use.
• Durable ABS construction for outdoor longevity.

Where should I mount or place the repellent for best results?

Position the unit about 9–10 inches above ground level in locations animals commonly pass—near garden edges, fences, or entry points. It can stand on a stake, hang from a tree or mount to a fence using the built-in holes, allowing flexible placement to match animal paths and terrain.

• Mount ~9–10 inches above ground for optimal sensor coverage.
• Use the stake, hang it, or attach to a fence or tree via mounting holes.
• Place near garden perimeters, compost piles, or fruit trees for focused protection.

What do the indicator lights and operation pattern mean?

The repeller uses simple light cues to show status: a blue LED indicates the solar panel is charging, while a red LED signals active operation. Each trigger produces a 15-second cycle with sound waves for about 2.5 seconds at the start and LED flashing, after which the unit returns to standby until the sensor detects motion again.

• Blue LED = charging under sunlight.
• Red LED = active deterrent cycle in progress.
• First activation: ultrasonic pulses for ~2.5 seconds plus flashing light.
• Automatic standby between motion events saves energy.

Who is this for: Homeowners, gardeners and small-scale growers who prefer a non-lethal, low-maintenance method to protect outdoor spaces from common nuisance animals will find this device practical. It’s aimed at people who want a solar-powered, weatherproof solution that activates only when animals approach and can be placed where human traffic is low to avoid unnecessary triggers.
