Chemical Guys HydroSpeed Ceramic Quick Detailer Spray 16 oz — SiO2 Boosts Gloss & Hydrophobic Protection

Chemical Guys HydroSpeed Ceramic Quick Detailer is a spray-on SiO2 formula that instantly boosts gloss, slickness, and water-beading protection between full details.

HydroSpeed (WAC23316) is a fast, wipe-on quick detailer formulated with silica (SiO2) ceramic polymers to refresh shine and add hydrophobic performance to paint, glass, wheels, and trim. Designed for easy maintenance rather than full correction, this 16 oz bottle helps you keep surfaces glossy and repellent to water and grime without heavy polishing or lengthy steps.

How quickly does HydroSpeed improve shine and water beading?

Results are immediate: spray, wipe, and see enhanced depth and reflective shine right away. The ceramic polymers bond to surfaces and produce noticeable water beading that sheds moisture and reduces spotting after light exposure to rain or wash water.

• Spray-and-wipe application for instant gloss
• SiO2 polymers create a hydrophobic layer
• Reduces water spotting and encourages runoff
• Works in minutes—no heavy buffing required

Can I use this on coated paint, glass, and wheels?

Yes — HydroSpeed is pH-balanced and safe on ceramic-coated and non-coated surfaces, including paint, glass, chrome, trim, and wheels. It complements existing coatings by adding a refresh layer that enhances slickness and extends protection between detailing sessions.

• Safe for ceramic coatings, waxes, and sealants
• Multi-surface compatibility: paint, glass, wheels, trim
• Helps preserve and strengthen existing protection
• Uses without streaking when wiped properly

What is the best way to apply HydroSpeed for lasting results?

For best results, work on a cool, shaded surface. Lightly mist HydroSpeed onto the panel, then immediately spread and remove with a clean microfiber towel using overlapping passes to avoid streaks; follow with a second towel for final buffing if desired.

• Apply on cool, dry surfaces out of direct sun
• Use a plush microfiber towel for application and buffing
• Spray sparingly—one panel at a time for control
• Ideal between washes or after a quick rinse

How does HydroSpeed fit into a regular maintenance routine?

HydroSpeed is designed as a maintenance boost rather than a replacement for full detailing. Use it after washing or a light rinse to add protection, restore slickness, and keep the vehicle looking freshly detailed for longer.

• Great for quick touch-ups between full details
• Extends life and performance of coatings and waxes
• Compact 16 oz size fits in detailing kits for easy access
• Speeds cleanup by repelling dirt and contaminants

Who is this for: HydroSpeed is intended for car enthusiasts, professional detailers, and everyday owners who want a fast, effective way to maintain glossy, hydrophobic surfaces without extensive time investment. It’s a practical addition to any detailing kit for those who value instant visual improvement and easier maintenance between thorough wash-and-ceramic treatments.
