Chemex Half-Moon Coffee Filters FP-2N — 100 ct Natural Unbleached, Thick Paper for Bright Pour-Over

Chemex Natural Half Moon Filters FP-2N are thick, conical paper filters designed to produce a clean, bright cup by trapping oils and fines for pure pour-over coffee.

These half-moon shaped filters are made for the Chemex pour-over system and compatible tapered brewers. Their heavier, multi-layer fiber construction is about 20–30% thicker than many alternatives, capturing bitter oils and micro-grounds while allowing desirable flavors and aromatics to pass into your cup. The result is a clearer, more balanced brew with distinct flavor clarity.

How do these filters change the taste of my coffee?

By using denser, layered paper, the filters remove much of the coffee oils and fine particles that can produce muddiness or bitterness. That filtration emphasizes bright acids and subtle aromatics, so single-origin and light-to-medium roasts taste cleaner and more defined.

• Thicker paper blocks oils for a brighter cup.
• Captures micro-grounds to reduce sediment.
• Preserves volatile aromatics for clearer flavor notes.

Will these fit my Chemex brewer and other devices?

The FP-2N half-moon filters are sized to fit the Chemex 3-cup model and are compatible with most tapered pour-over makers that accept half-moon filters. They sit securely in the dripper, forming a consistent cone that promotes even extraction and a steady flow rate.

• Designed specifically for Chemex 3-cup brewers.
• Works with many tapered, half-moon filter-compatible devices.
• Conical shape supports uniform water distribution.

How should I use and prepare these filters for best results?

Fold the filter along its seam, place it in the Chemex, and rinse with hot water to remove paper taste and preheat the vessel. Discard the rinse water, add coffee, and brew with your preferred pour technique—rinsing also helps the paper settle and improves flow stability.

• Fold seam before inserting for proper fit.
• Rinse with hot water to eliminate paper flavor and preheat.
• Use consistent pouring to maintain even extraction.

How many filters come in one pack and what are they made of?

This package contains 100 natural (unbleached) half-moon filters. They are made from high-quality fiber designed to be thicker than many standard filters, offering strong filtration without sacrificing flow.

• 100-count convenient bulk supply.
• Natural, unbleached paper construction.
• 20–30% thicker fiber for superior filtration.

Who is this for: These Chemex FP-2N filters suit home brewers and cafes focused on clarity and origin expression—especially those using light to medium roasts or single-origin beans. They’re ideal for anyone who values a clean, sediment-free cup and wants reliable, repeatable extraction from a tapered pour-over brewer. If you prefer oily, full-bodied brews produced by metal filters, these may feel brighter and leaner, but for clean, nuanced coffee, they’re an excellent choice.
