Casil 12V 7Ah SLA/AGM Backup Battery CA1270 — F1 Terminals, Maintenance-Free Sealed

The Casil CA1270 is a sealed 12V 7Ah SLA/AGM rechargeable battery designed for reliable, maintenance-free backup power in alarms, emergency lighting, UPS units and other small systems.

Compact and fully sealed, this Casil battery uses absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology to deliver steady standby and cyclic performance without the need for watering or routine maintenance. Its 0.187" F1 quick-connect terminals make it simple to swap into compatible panels and devices; the CA1270 is built to be a drop-in replacement for many common alarm and backup batteries.

How does the CA1270 perform in everyday backup applications?

The CA1270 provides consistent float and cyclic service designed for devices that demand reliable power over long periods. AGM construction helps the battery tolerate repeated charge/discharge cycles while minimizing self-discharge during storage.

• Nominal voltage: 12 volts, nominal capacity: 7 amp-hours
• Sealed, maintenance-free design reduces upkeep needs
• AGM plates for improved vibration resistance and charge acceptance
• Suitable for both standby (float) and intermittent (cycle) use

Will the F1 terminals fit my alarm or UPS system?

This model is equipped with standard 0.187" F1 fast-on terminals that match many alarm panels, small UPS units, emergency lights and access control devices. If your device uses F1 connectors, installation is usually a straightforward cable swap with no special adapter required.

• F1 (0.187") quick-disconnect tabs for rapid connection
• Compatible with common security brands and exit sign wiring
• Polarity and tab placement match typical replacement batteries
• Works with many First Alert, ADT, Honeywell, DSC, GE/Interlogix systems

How safe and maintenance-free is this sealed lead-acid battery?

The CA1270 is fully sealed and spill-proof, thanks to its AGM construction, so it can be mounted in multiple orientations and operated without adding water. The sealed design also reduces the risk of corrosion and acid leaks that occur with older flooded batteries.

• No watering or electrolyte handling required
• Sealed case minimizes leakage and maintenance tasks
• AGM separators lower internal resistance and improve safety
• Meets typical safety expectations for indoor backup batteries

How long will the Casil CA1270 last in service?

Service life depends on operating conditions, temperature, and charge regimen, but AGM SLAs like the CA1270 are engineered for extended service when maintained on proper float chargers. Regular charging within specified voltage ranges and avoiding extreme temperatures will maximize usable life.

• Engineered for extended standby and reasonable cyclic longevity
• Lifespan varies with temperature, load, and charging practices
• Best performance when used with a compatible charger or device float circuit
• Replace proactively if capacity noticeably declines under load

Who is this for? The Casil CA1270 is suited to technicians, installers and homeowners who need a compact, no-fuss replacement battery for security systems, emergency lights, small UPS units, access control, and similar devices. It’s aimed at anyone who wants a sealed, spill-proof 12V 7Ah power source with standard F1 terminals for quick swaps and reliable standby performance.
