Carista Carista EVO Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner — Wireless Diagnostic Tool, Live Data & Customizations (Black)

The Carista EVO pairs a compact wireless adapter with the Carista mobile app to give drivers and DIY mechanics access to diagnostics, service tools, real-time engine data, and certain advanced customization options. The device enables basic OBD2 functions out of the box; advanced diagnostics, live parameters, service procedures and customization features require a paid Carista subscription. It supports a wide range of makes and models, including many European, Asian, and American brands, and works with both iOS and Android devices.

Which car functions can Carista EVO perform for routine troubleshooting?

Carista EVO handles standard OBD2 tasks immediately and, with an active subscription, unlocks deeper diagnostic capabilities. It reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), displays freeze-frame snapshots, and shows live sensor values to help pinpoint issues.

• Read and erase engine and system fault codes (check engine light data)
• View freeze-frame data captured at the time of a fault
• Stream live parameters like RPM, coolant temp, and sensor voltages with the app
• Save logs for later review or to share with a technician

How does the subscription affect the features I can access?

The Carista EVO adapter grants basic OBD2 code reading upon purchase, but advanced features require a Carista App subscription. Subscription tiers (monthly or annual) enable service procedures, detailed system diagnostics, expanded live data, and vehicle-specific customizations.

• Basic code reading activated without subscription
• 1-month or 12-month subscriptions unlock advanced diagnostics
• Subscription required for service/maintenance functions and customization edits
• Manage subscription inside the Carista App after pairing

Which vehicles are compatible with Carista EVO and are there brand limitations?

Carista EVO supports many popular manufacturers across regions but compatibility varies by model year and system. It’s officially licensed for Volkswagen Group (VAG) customizations and works on numerous Acura, Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Volvo and other makes; check vehicle support in the Carista App before purchase.

• Works with many European, Asian and North American brands
• Some features are vehicle- and model-year dependent
• VAG vehicles receive licensed customization support
• Compatibility list available via Carista website or app

How do I set up and use the Carista EVO with my phone?

Setup is a Bluetooth pairing and app registration process. Plug the EVO into your car’s OBD2 port, install the Carista App on iOS or Android, pair the adapter, and choose the features you need—purchasing a subscription within the app for advanced access if required.

• Plug the adapter into the vehicle’s OBD2 socket
• Install and open the Carista App on your phone
• Pair the Bluetooth adapter and follow on-screen setup prompts
• Purchase and activate subscription for advanced tools if desired

Who is this for: Carista EVO is designed for drivers, hobby mechanics, and small-shop technicians who want a compact, mobile diagnostic solution that covers everyday OBD2 tasks and provides optional advanced diagnostics, service tools and vehicle personalization through a subscription. It’s best suited to owners of supported makes who prefer to troubleshoot, maintain, or personalize a vehicle themselves while keeping the option to upgrade features as needed.
