How clear is the audio and how does the intercom perform?

Spirit HD uses a wideband intercom and 40 mm speakers to deliver fuller sound and improved voice clarity at speed. The system supports a two-rider intercom with a practical range of about 600 meters (0.4 miles), keeping conversation stable on typical road conditions.

• Wideband intercom audio tuned for speech intelligibility
• Two-rider pairing with up to 600 m / 0.4 mi range
• Three selectable sound profiles to match riding style and helmet acoustics

Will it survive weather and rough use?

The Spirit HD is engineered for real-world riding: sealed components and robust housing resist rain, mud, dust and snow so the unit stays connected even in adverse conditions. Its waterproof design reduces the worry of exposure during long rides or sudden storms.

• Waterproof construction for wet and dirty environments
• Durable casing built to withstand daily riding impacts
• Secure mounting that stays in place on most helmets
• Easy-to-clean surfaces after off-road or winter use

How does it connect to phones, GPS and other headsets?

Spirit HD offers universal Bluetooth compatibility so it will link with phones, GPS units, and headsets from other brands. It supports simultaneous music streaming and phone/GPS voice guidance, and the built-in FM radio with RDS finds the strongest local station automatically.

• Universal Bluetooth pairing with any brand of headset
• Music streaming from smartphones and stereo audio playback
• Phone call handling and voice-guided GPS prompts
• Integrated FM radio with RDS for automatic station tuning

What convenience and battery features does it offer?

The unit charges quickly via USB-C and supports fast top-ups to get you back on the road: a short 20-minute charge provides approximately two hours of talk time. Automatic volume adjusts to ambient noise, reducing manual tuning while riding.

• USB-C fast charge: 20 minutes gives roughly 2 hours of talk time
• Automatic volume control reacts to road and wind noise
• Over-the-air firmware updates through the Cardo Connect app
• Simple controls for music, calls and intercom while riding
