Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner Powder 2.5 lb — Dry Clean, Deodorizes & Lifts Soils

Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner is a ready-to-use dry powder that lifts dirt, neutralizes odors, and refreshes carpets and rugs without water or steam.

Designed for quick, at-home spot treatment and surface refreshes, this 2.5 lb pail delivers a low‑moisture cleaning option that absorbs soils and trapped smells. The formula is intended to work on a wide range of fibers — from synthetic area rugs to delicate wool or code S fabrics — and is formulated without bleach, harsh solvents, or aggressive chemicals. Use it where wet cleaning is impractical or when you need a fast, no-fuss solution to restore appearance and scent.

How does Capture remove spills and dry-in dirt?

Capture's powder acts like a strong absorbent, grabbing oils, food residues, and other soiling particles from carpet fibers so they can be vacuumed away. Because it works dry, there’s no residual moisture to wick stains back to the surface.

• Sprinkle onto the affected area, work in gently, then vacuum thoroughly.
• Absorbs both oily and particulate soils for cleaner fiber appearance.
• Reduces the risk of reappearing stains since no water is left behind.

Is this powder safe for delicate rugs, pets, and vehicle interiors?

Yes — Capture is formulated to be safe on a variety of materials, including wool, silk, and specialty fabrics labeled Code S. It also works in cars and on pet stains, offering odor control without aggressive bleaches or solvents.

• Suitable for most carpet fibers, area rugs, upholstered furniture, and auto carpeting.
• Recommended for pet-related odors and surface spills; pre‑treatments can help on very stubborn spots.
• Made in the USA with no harsh chemical actives listed on the label.

How do I use Capture for best results at home?

For routine cleaning or spot treatment, sprinkle the powder over the soiled area, gently brush it into the pile, let it sit briefly to absorb, then vacuum. For heavier or older stains, a separate Capture Pre‑Mist (sold separately) can be applied beforehand to loosen soils.

• Dry application: sprinkle evenly, brush lightly, then vacuum when dry.
• For tough stains: apply Capture Pre‑Mist first, then follow with the powder.
• One 2.5 lb pail can cover roughly 250 square feet for light maintenance use.

How quickly will my carpet smell and look fresher?

Most users notice an immediate improvement in scent and visible surface cleanliness after vacuuming. The powder neutralizes odors as it absorbs soils, so freshness is often apparent once the area has been vacuumed and fibers are upright again.

• Deodorizing action works during the dwell time before vacuuming.
• Vacuuming restores pile and removes the spent powder plus the captured soils.
• Regular use helps maintain appearance between deeper cleanings.
