Camco RV Water Filter – Tastepure Inline Hose Filter, Wide-Flow GAC+KDF, Made in USA

The Camco Tastepure RV Water Filter is an inline, American-made hose filter that reduces chlorine, sediment and unpleasant tastes while preserving high flow for drinking water at campsites, boats and RVs.

Designed for travelers who rely on external water hookups, this Tastepure filter combines granular activated carbon (GAC) and KDF media with a 20-micron sediment stage to deliver clearer, better-tasting water without sacrificing pressure. Its wide-body, high-flow profile and included flexible hose protector make it simple to attach to standard garden or RV hoses and keep water moving where you need it. Independently tested and manufactured in the USA, the filter conforms to lead-free certifications and recognized NSF/ANSI performance standards.

How does the 6-step filtration work to improve campsite water?

The filter layers target different contaminants so water comes out cleaner and more palatable. Sediment is trapped first, followed by carbon and KDF stages that reduce chlorine taste and help control bacteria or mold growth during storage.

• 20-micron sediment layer captures sand, silt and rust particles.
• Granular activated carbon removes chlorine and odors for better flavor.
• KDF media reduces metal ions and inhibits biological growth in idle hoses.
• Multiple stages act together to protect downstream appliances and taps.

Will this lower my water pressure when attached to an RV supply?

No — the Tastepure is built for high-flow performance. Its wide-body construction maintains ample flow for drinking, cooking and washing while still providing multi-stage filtration.

• High-flow design minimizes pressure drop compared with narrow inline filters.
• Compatible with standard garden and RV threaded connections for easy hookup.
• Internal layout balances filtration efficiency and throughput.

What certifications and quality assurances does it have?

This Camco unit is produced and tested to meet recognized industry standards and lead-free regulations. Independent listings verify material safety and specific contaminant reduction performance for consumer confidence.

• Tested to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 performance standards for taste/odor and select contaminant reduction.
• Certified lead-free content to NSF/ANSI 372, compliant with U.S. lead-free laws.
• Manufactured in the USA under controlled quality procedures and patented design elements.

How easy is it to install and maintain while traveling?

Installation is straightforward: screw the filter between a standard water source and your hose or RV inlet. The included flexible hose protector prevents kinks and reduces stress at the connection, helping the filter and fittings last longer on the road.

• Tool-free threaded connections fit typical garden and RV hoses.
• Flexible hose protector reduces strain and prevents kinking near the filter.
• Replace cartridge intervals depend on water quality and usage; inspect regularly for clogging.

Who is this for? The Camco Tastepure RV Water Filter is ideal for RV owners, boaters, weekend campers and pet owners who want improved-tasting water from campsite or marina hookups without compromising flow. It's also useful for car detailing, gardening, or any situation where a portable, certified inline filter reduces odors, sediment and common tap tastes. If you need an easy-to-install, made-in-USA solution that balances filtration performance and throughput on the go, the Tastepure is built for that purpose.
