Breville ClaroSwiss Espresso Water Filter BES008 — Replacement Filter for Breville Machines, Reduces Chlorine & Scale

The Breville BES008 ClaroSwiss water filter improves espresso taste and protects your machine by reducing chlorine, heavy metals and excess minerals.

Clear, properly filtered water is a simple way to get better espresso and fewer maintenance headaches. The Breville BES008 filter is an official Breville accessory engineered to fit several popular Breville espresso machines and to lower the contaminants that can dull flavor and accelerate scale build-up. Easy to install and replaced every 90 days, it’s designed to balance protection for the appliance with improved cup quality.

How does this filter change espresso flavor?

The filter reduces chlorine and certain metals that can mask delicate coffee notes so extraction tastes cleaner and more balanced. It doesn’t add flavor—rather, it removes elements that interfere with the coffee’s natural profile.

• Reduces chlorine that can cause off-notes in brewed espresso
• Limits metallic tastes from heavy metals in tap water
• Helps maintain the water minerals that support proper extraction

Which Breville machines accept this ClaroSwiss filter?

This replacement is designed for a range of Breville models, so it fits seamlessly without modification. Check your machine manual or the product compatibility list to confirm fit before purchasing.

• Oracle Dual Boiler (BES995)
• Oracle Touch (BES990) and Oracle (BES980)
• Dual Boiler (BES920)
• Barista Touch Impress (BES881) and Barista Touch (BES880)

How often should I replace the Breville water filter?

To maintain optimal performance and protect internal components, replace the filter every 90 days under normal household use. More frequent replacement may be needed with very hard water or heavy daily use.

• Standard recommendation: replace every 90 days
• Replace sooner if your water supply is high in minerals (hard water)
• Follow machine prompts or manual guidance if available

What maintenance benefits does the filter provide?

Using the filter reduces scale formation inside the boiler and plumbing, which lowers descaling frequency and can extend component life. It simplifies routine care so machines spend more time making drinks and less time in service.

• Decreases scale buildup, reducing descaling intervals
• Helps protect pumps and heating elements from mineral damage
• Easy to install and an official Breville accessory for reliable fit
