Bostitch Electric Pencil Sharpener for Classroom & Desk, Red — Stall-Free Motor, High-Capacity Tray

The Bostitch Electric Pencil Sharpener is a compact, stall-free red sharpener built for classrooms, home desks, and offices that delivers consistent, precision sharpening with a large, safe shavings tray.

Small but powerful, this Bostitch electric sharpener combines a space-saving footprint with a motor designed to run through dull pencils without stopping. It includes a high-capacity, easy-to-clean shavings tray with an automatic safety shutoff, plus a hardened helical cutter (HHC) that extends cutter life up to 4x compared with typical blades. Backed by a 7-year warranty, it’s engineered for frequent use where reliable performance matters.

How does this sharpener keep classrooms and desks running smoothly?

The stall-free motor helps avoid interruptions during lessons or work sessions by powering through blunt or worn pencils. Its compact shape fits crowded desks and shared spaces without getting in the way.

• Durable motor designed to resist stalling under heavy use
• Compact footprint saves valuable desk and shelf space
• High-capacity shavings tray reduces the need for frequent emptying

What safety features protect students and office users?

Safety is built into the design: the unit disables the motor if the shavings tray is removed, preventing accidental operation. The accessible tray also makes safe emptying quick and straightforward.

• Auto-shutoff safety switch stops operation when the tray is open
• Enclosed sharpening mechanism keeps blades out of reach
• Sturdy housing helps prevent tipping in busy environments

How long do the cutters last and how easy is maintenance?

The hardened helical cutter (HHC) provides extended cutting life, reducing how often the cutter needs replacement. Maintenance is minimal: slide out the large shavings tray, empty it, and slide it back in — the design was created to be low-effort for teachers and office managers.

• HHC technology delivers up to 4x longer cutter life versus standard blades
• High-capacity tray minimizes maintenance frequency
• Tool-free tray removal for quick cleaning and disposal

Will this sharpener fit different pencil types and volumes of use?

Designed for typical classroom and office pencils, the unit handles standard- and most large-diameter pencils reliably. The powerful motor and long-life cutter make it suitable for continuous use throughout a school day or busy work shift.

• Accepts standard classroom and office pencils with consistent results
• Motor performance supports frequent, repeated use
• Compact design still accommodates high-volume sharpening needs
