Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) Bluetooth Speaker, Sandstone — IP67 Waterproof, 12-Hour Battery

The Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is a compact, rugged Bluetooth speaker that delivers high‑fidelity sound, deep bass, and up to 12 hours of portable playtime in an IP67 waterproof, dustproof design.

Small enough to carry in one hand or clip to a pack, this second‑generation SoundLink Flex balances powerful audio with outdoor durability. It uses PositionIQ orientation sensing to optimize playback no matter how you set it down, and Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint pairing keeps your phone and tablet connected. The silicone‑wrapped enclosure resists drops, rust, and shocks, and the speaker even floats—so you can bring better sound to trails, beaches, and backyard pools.

How loud and clear is the sound for outdoor gatherings?

The SoundLink Flex punches above its size with clear highs, balanced mids, and surprisingly deep bass for a compact speaker. You can pair two compatible Bose speakers for wider stereo separation or Party Mode when you need more volume at larger get‑togethers.

• High‑fidelity acoustic design for balanced playback
• Deep bass response unusual for a handheld speaker
• Stereo Mode or Party Mode with two compatible Bose units
• PositionIQ adjusts output based on speaker orientation

Will it survive water, dust, and accidental drops?

This model meets IP67 standards, meaning it’s fully protected against dust and can handle immersion in water for short periods. Its tough silicone‑wrapped body and reinforced construction are tested for drops, shocks, crushing, and corrosion resistance so it holds up on adventures.

• IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating
• Silicone outer shell protects against impacts and abrasion
• Corrosion‑resistant materials for beach and pool use
• Floats—safe for pools and calm water outings

How long does the battery last and how does connectivity work?

At normal listening levels the internal battery provides up to 12 hours of playtime, and at maximum volume expect a shorter runtime. Bluetooth 5.3 gives a reliable wireless link to your device from roughly 30 feet away, and multipoint pairing lets you switch between two sources without re‑pairing.

• Up to 12 hours playtime at typical listening levels
• USB‑C charging for faster, more convenient power top‑ups
• Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connections and lower latency
• Multipoint pairing to connect two devices simultaneously

What extra controls and customization are available?

Use the Bose Music app to tweak EQ settings, view remaining battery life, customize shortcut buttons, and manage paired devices. Physical controls on the speaker let you play, pause, change tracks, and take calls via the built‑in microphone without reaching for your phone.

• Bose app control for EQ, shortcuts, and firmware updates
• On‑device buttons for playback and call handling
• Built‑in microphone for hands‑free calls and voice assistant access
• Utility loop for clipping to bags or gear
