Bose A30 Aviation Bluetooth Headset - Black, Lightweight with Adjustable Digital ANR & Noise‑Cancelling Mic

The A30 builds on Bose aviation heritage to deliver improved comfort and refined audio performance for professional and recreational pilots. It reduces cockpit noise with a fully digital ANR system offering three selectable modes, features a precision microphone tuned for aircraft comms, and adds Bluetooth audio and convenient tap-to-talk controls for modern flight operations. The headset also prioritizes durability and serviceability with toolless side-swappable components and an upgraded carry case.

How does the A30 manage cockpit noise and communication clarity?

The A30 uses a fully digital active noise reduction system with three user-selectable modes so you can dial in the level of ambient noise suppression needed for different phases of flight. Incoming audio is actively equalized for clear intelligibility, while the mic reduces background noise for cleaner transmissions into the intercom or ATC.

• Three ANR modes: selectable for varying noise environments.
• Active equalization for clearer incoming speech and alerts.
• Precision noise-cancelling boom mic engineered for hot-mic/PTT systems.

What makes the A30 comfortable for long flights?

Bose redesigned the earcup geometry and headband to lower clamping force by about 20% compared with the previous A20, and redistributed weight for better on-head stability. Soft circumaural ear seals and a lightweight build reduce pressure on the head and ears during multi-hour missions.

• Approximately 20% less clamping force versus the A20 for reduced fatigue.
• Circumaural ear seals that fully enclose the ear to improve comfort and passive isolation.
• Redistributed weight and slim profile for stable, balanced wear.

How does the A30 integrate with avionics, devices, and cockpit workflows?

The A30 is built for flexibility: a removable, side-swappable boom microphone and down cable allow for quick configuration changes without tools. Optional Bluetooth handles mobile audio, EFB routing, and tap-to-talk talk-through; audio prioritization lets you mix or mute Bluetooth relative to intercom audio.

• Toolless side-swappable boom mic and down cable for left/right mounting.
• Bluetooth audio with prioritization and tap-to-talk functionality.
• Durable thin cable that offers freedom of movement and easy storage.

What certifications and durability features support operational use?

The A30 meets FAA TSO and EASA E/TSO-C139a standards and passed rigorous endurance and environmental testing. Its robust components, improved carry case with internal zippered storage, and padded sides help protect the headset in daily service.

• FAA TSO and EASA E/TSO-C139a certified for aviation use.
• Subjected to extensive Bose engineering and quality assurance testing.
• Upgraded carry case with padded sides and internal zippered storage.

Who is this for: The Bose A30 is aimed at professional pilots, flight instructors, corporate and charter operators, and serious general aviation aviators who need long-wearing comfort, configurable active noise reduction, and clear communications. It also suits pilots who want modern conveniences—Bluetooth audio, tap-to-talk, and tool-free component swaps—while keeping aviation-grade certification and ruggedness.
