Bodhi Dog Bitter Apple No Chew Spray 8 fl oz — Natural Plant-Based Deterrent, Non-Staining

Bodhi Dog Bitter Apple No Chew Spray is a plant-based, humane deterrent that discourages dogs and puppies from chewing household items using a natural bitter apple formula.

This spray is formulated to help pet owners protect furniture, shoes, plants and other targeted items without harsh chemicals or artificial fragrances. Made in the USA from botanical bitters and apple extracts, it’s designed to be used as part of a consistent training routine so dogs learn which objects are off-limits. Non-staining and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the formula emphasizes safety and gradual behavior change rather than punishment.

How quickly will my dog notice and respond to the Bitter Apple taste?

Individual reactions vary: some pets react immediately while others take several days of consistent exposure to learn the association between the unpleasant taste and the object. For best results, apply the spray regularly to problem items and combine it with positive reinforcement when your dog chooses appropriate alternatives.

• Typical response window: some dogs in 5–7 days, others may need 14+ days.
• Consistent application strengthens the taste-behavior link.
• Pair with toys or treats to reinforce good chewing choices.

Is this spray safe for my furniture, shoes, and indoor plants?

Yes — the Bodhi Dog formula is non-staining and free of harsh chemicals and artificial colors, making it safe for many household surfaces. Nonetheless, it’s wise to test a small, hidden area first to confirm compatibility with delicate finishes or fabrics.

• Non-staining botanical formula designed for multiple surfaces.
• Patch-test recommended on delicate or antique items.
• Safe for indoor and outdoor application when used as directed.

Can I use this spray on a puppy or a dog with sensitivities?

Bodhi Dog Bitter Apple is crafted from plant-based bitters and apple extracts, making it a good option for pets prone to sensitivities or allergies compared with sprays containing synthetic irritants. Still, monitor your pet after first use and discontinue if you notice adverse reactions; consult a veterinarian for specific health concerns.

• All-botanical ingredients reduce risk of irritation for many pets.
• Observe your pet after initial use and adjust training as needed.
• Not a substitute for medical advice—contact your vet with concerns.

How should I include the spray in a training plan to stop chewing?

Use the spray on items you want to protect and consistently reward your pet when it chews approved toys or leaves treated objects alone. Patience and repetition are key: the spray discourages chewing but lasting change comes from reinforcing alternatives and supervising during the learning period.

• Spray target items regularly until behavior improves.
• Provide durable chew toys and praise or treats for good choices.
• Supervise interactions and remove tempting items when unsupervised.
