Blink Video Doorbell — Wire-Free Head-to-Toe HD View, White, Up to 2-Year Battery & Night Vision

Blink Video Doorbell is a wire-free smart doorbell that delivers a full head-to-toe HD view, up to two years of battery life with included Energizer lithium AAs, and quick setup—note: Blink Sync Module is sold separately.

The Blink Video Doorbell (second generation) is designed to give clear, wide-angle coverage of your entryway with night vision, two-way audio, and motion alerts you can manage from the Blink app. It arrives with three AA Energizer lithium batteries for long-lasting operation, a mounting kit, and features built to integrate with Alexa. Because the Sync Module is optional and sold separately, you can choose local network storage and more advanced features if you add it; otherwise the doorbell runs wire-free using the included batteries.

How long will the battery actually last and what affects runtime?

The doorbell can operate up to two years on the three included AA Energizer lithium batteries under typical usage patterns. Real-world runtime depends on motion frequency, number of alerts, video clip length, and whether you wire the unit to an existing doorbell circuit.

• Includes three AA Energizer lithium batteries for extended use.
• Heavy foot traffic or frequent motion alerts reduce battery life.
• Wiring the doorbell lets it draw house power and ring your internal chime.
• Using a Blink Sync Module (sold separately) can change storage options and alert behavior.

What will I see on the video feed and can I talk to visitors?

The Video Doorbell captures a tall head-to-toe HD image so you can see people and packages clearly, day or night, thanks to infrared night vision. Two-way audio lets you hear and speak to visitors through the Blink app while away from home.

• Head-to-toe HD view for full-length coverage of the doorstep.
• Infrared night vision for clear low-light monitoring.
• Two-way audio through the Blink mobile app for remote conversations.
• Alerts for doorbell presses and motion events sent to your phone.

How do I install the Blink Video Doorbell and what do I need?

Installation is designed to be straightforward: mount wire-free using the included hardware and batteries, or connect to existing doorbell wiring to enable in-home chimes. The package contains a mounting kit and three AA batteries, but a Blink Sync Module is required for optional local storage and advanced features and must be purchased separately.

• Wire-free installation using the included battery pack and mounting hardware.
• Optional wired setup connects to existing doorbell wiring to ring inside chimes.
• Sync Module sold separately if you want local sync storage and expanded features.
• Compatible with Blink app setup and optional Blink Subscription Plans for cloud storage.

What smart features and storage options are available?

Blink works with Alexa for voice interactions and supports cloud storage via a Blink Subscription Plan, which offers stitched clips and longer retention. A free 30-day trial of the subscription is included; without a subscription, you can still receive alerts and view live video, and adding a Sync Module enables local storage options.

• Alexa compatibility for voice commands and answering the door.
• Free 30-day trial of Blink Subscription for cloud storage and stitched Moments.
• Sync Module (sold separately) enables local storage on compatible devices.
• Alerts on doorbell press and person detection when subscribed.

Who this is for: The Blink Video Doorbell suits homeowners and renters who want an easy-to-install, long-running video doorbell with a tall field of view and night vision, plus voice assistant integration. If you prefer minimal maintenance and solid battery life, or if you plan to add the Blink Sync Module later for local storage and extended features, this model delivers practical, flexible entryway monitoring without complex wiring.
