Bissell Zing 2156A Bagless Canister Vacuum — Lightweight, 9-Amp Cyclonic Suction, 2L Dirt Cup

The Bissell 2156A Zing is a lightweight, bagless canister vacuum that uses cyclonic suction to clean carpets and hard floors while providing easy emptying and versatile tool access.

Designed for quick room-to-room cleaning, the Zing combines cyclonic action, a 2-liter dirt cup and washable filters in a compact, easy-to-steer canister. It balances strong suction with a low weight—under eight pounds—and includes a telescoping wand plus onboard tools so you can reach stairs, upholstery, and tight corners without hauling a heavy machine.

How powerful is the suction and how does it perform on different floor types?

The Zing uses cyclonic technology and a 9-amp motor to deliver continuous suction across carpets and hard floors. A flip switch changes the cleaning head for optimal contact and airflow on both surfaces, helping maintain performance without swapping heads.

• Cyclonic action maintains steady suction by separating larger debris from fine dust.
• 9-amp motor suitable for routine home cleanups on carpet and hard floors.
• Flip switch on the nozzle for smooth transitions between floor types.
• 2-liter dirt cup reduces frequent emptying for small to medium-sized homes.

What makes maintenance and filter care simple?

The Zing features a bottom-release dirt cup to empty debris without touching the collected mess. Both the dirt cup filter and post-motor filter are washable and reusable, cutting down on replacement costs and keeping airflow steady when maintained.

• Bottom-tank emptying for hands-free disposal of dirt and debris.
• Washable primary and post-motor filters extend filter life and lower operating costs.
• Transparent dirt cup lets you see when emptying is needed.
• Simple reassembly after cleaning filters and cup to resume use quickly.

How easy is it to maneuver and store the vacuum?

Weighing less than eight pounds and fitted with swivel steering, the Zing is built for nimble handling around furniture, stairs, and tight spaces. A built-in carrying handle and retractable 15-foot cord make transport and storage straightforward, while the compact footprint fits into closets or smaller storage areas.

• Lightweight design reduces strain when carrying between rooms.
• Swivel steering for smooth turns around furniture and legs.
• 15-foot power cord with one-touch rewind for neat storage.
• Integrated handle and compact body for easy lifting and stowing.

Which attachments come with the vacuum and what can they clean?

The Zing ships with a telescopic wand and multiple onboard tools so you can switch from floor cleaning to above-floor tasks quickly. The included attachments let you tackle upholstery, corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas without extra purchases.

• Telescopic wand extends reach for ceilings and high surfaces.
• Crevice tool cleans narrow gaps and edges effectively.
• Upholstery brush safely lifts dust from furniture and drapes.
• Onboard tool storage keeps accessories handy while you clean.

Who is this for? The Bissell 2156A Zing is a good fit for renters, apartment dwellers, and homeowners who want a compact, budget-friendly canister vacuum for routine cleaning. It suits people who value lightweight portability, simple maintenance with washable filters, and a quick-switch cleaning head for both carpets and hard floors. If you need a heavy-duty commercial unit or specialized pet-hair technology, consider other models tailored to those needs; for everyday home upkeep, the Zing offers a practical balance of suction, tools, and convenience.
