How well does this formula remove stubborn stains and heavy soil?

The PRO MAX Clean + Refresh formula is formulated to loosen and lift embedded dirt and common household stains so your upright cleaner can extract them more effectively. It’s suited for high-traffic spots and concentrated messes where ordinary detergents don’t perform as well.

• Works with upright Bissell machines for deep cleaning action
• Contains surfactants that break down oils and ground-in dirt
• Safe on carpet fibers when used according to machine instructions

Will it remove odors and freshen rooms?

Yes — the added Febreze component targets odor molecules, not just masking smells, giving carpets and upholstery a fresher scent after cleaning. The result is both cleaner fibers and a noticeable reduction in pet, food, and household odors.

• Febreze technology helps neutralize unpleasant odors
• Leaves a light, refreshed scent after extraction
• Effective on upholstery and rugs as well as carpets

Is the formula safe for homes with children and pets?

The formula is free from heavy metals, phosphates, and dyes and uses biodegradable detergents, making it a safer option for family households when used exactly as directed. Bissell also highlights the product’s connection to pet rescue efforts through the Bissell Pet Foundation.

• No heavy metals, phosphates, or artificial dyes
• Biodegradable detergents reduce environmental impact
• Follow label directions for safe use around kids and pets

How do I use this 48 oz bottle with my upright carpet cleaner?

Pour the recommended amount into your Bissell upright cleaner’s solution tank following the dilution instructions on the bottle. Run the machine over the targeted area and perform a rinse/extraction pass if advised by your model’s manual to remove residue.

• Measure solution per your cleaner’s instructions
• Pre-treat high-traffic spots for best results
• Perform an extraction pass to remove loosened dirt and detergent
