Bissell Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Formula — Febreze with Gain Oxy, Ready-to-Use Stain and Odor Remover

Bissell Febreze with Gain Oxy is a carpet and upholstery cleaning formula that combines oxy-powered stain removal with Febreze and Gain-inspired fragrance to lift dirt and neutralize odors.

Designed for use in upright carpet cleaners, this ready-to-use cleaning solution targets ground-in soil and common household stains while leaving a fresh, layered scent behind. It blends oxygen-based cleaners that break apart grime with Febreze odor-neutralizing technology and the warm, bright notes associated with Gain — an option for households that want both performance and a pleasant post-clean smell. The formula is suitable for carpets, area rugs, upholstery and other soft surfaces that normally tolerate carpet-cleaner solutions.

How does this product remove tough stains from carpet and upholstery?

The formula uses oxygen-release cleaning agents to penetrate and lift deep-down dirt without excessive scrubbing. It works on common food and beverage stains, oily spots, and everyday soil so your machine can extract more residues in fewer passes.

• Oxy-based cleaners loosen and suspend soil for easier extraction
• Compatible with upright carpet cleaning machines for mechanical agitation
• Formulated to address ketchup, coffee, wine, oil, grease and makeup stains

Will it actually neutralize odors or just mask them?

The product combines Febreze odor-elimination technology with Gain-inspired fragrance to both neutralize many common odors and leave a pleasant scent. Rather than simply covering smells, the Febreze component targets the odor molecules while the scent provides an immediately noticeable fresh aroma.

• Febreze tech reduces odor-causing molecules for longer-lasting freshness
• Gain-style fragrance adds amber, green, and floral top notes for a layered scent
• Suitable for pet areas, high-traffic rooms, and fabrics that hold odors

Is this safe to use on all carpeted and upholstered surfaces?

This solution is formulated for use on most carpet fibers, area rugs, and upholstery that state they can be treated with carpet-cleaner products. Always check the manufacturer’s care label and test an inconspicuous area first to confirm colorfastness and material compatibility.

• Recommended for carpets, area rugs, and many upholstery fabrics
• Not for delicate or non-water-safe fabrics—perform a spot test first
• Works with upright carpet cleaning machines for best results

How do I use this in my Bissell upright cleaner for best results?

Fill the cleaner’s solution tank with the recommended amount of product and water according to your machine’s instructions. Pre-treat heavy spots if needed, run cleaning passes at a steady pace, and allow adequate drying time before use.

• Follow your machine’s dilute-and-fill directions to avoid overconcentration
• Pre-treat stubborn stains and agitate gently before extracting
• Use multiple passes with fresh water rinse if residue or scent is too strong
