BioGuard Algae Complete Dual‑Action Algaecide 2L — Weekly Preventative & Fast 24‑Hour Control for All Pool Surfaces

BioGuard Algae Complete is a once‑a‑week, dual‑action algaecide that prevents and destroys green, mustard, and black algae in all pool surfaces.

Whether your pool is plaster, vinyl, fiberglass or concrete, this 2‑liter (72 fl oz) formula combines a polyquat with chelated copper for broad‑spectrum algae control. Designed to work alongside most sanitizers, it’s non‑foaming, non‑staining when used as directed, and delivers visible results in about 24 hours. Algae Complete simplifies maintenance by serving both as a weekly preventative and a targeted treatment, cutting down the number of separate chemicals you need to keep water clear and algae‑free.

How fast will I see algae disappear after treatment?

Most pools treated correctly with Algae Complete will show improvement within 24 hours, with continued clearing over the next few days. Faster results require proper circulation, filtration and the correct initial dosing.

• Expect visible reduction of green and mustard algae within 24 hours.
• Black algae may require repeated brushing and follow‑up dosing.
• Ensure pump runs and filter is clean for best contact time.

How do I dose BioGuard Algae Complete for initial and weekly use?

Dosage is straightforward: use a higher initial dose for existing algae, then maintain weekly with a smaller amount to prevent recurrence. Always measure by pool volume and follow label directions.

• Initial shock dose: 8 fl oz per 10,000 gallons.
• Weekly maintenance: 1.5 fl oz per 10,000 gallons.
• Add to pool away from returns; run pump to distribute evenly.

Will this product stain pool surfaces or affect heaters and spas?

When used as directed BioGuard Algae Complete is formulated to be non‑staining and non‑foaming; the copper is chelated to stay in solution and reduce staining risk. It is also suitable for pools with attached spas and jet returns.

• Chelated copper minimizes dropout from solution that can cause stains.
• Non‑foaming formula safe for pools with jets and attached spas.
• Compatible with most common pool sanitizers—check sanitizer-specific guidance if unsure.

Can I use Algae Complete with my existing sanitizer routine?

Yes — Algae Complete was developed to complement a wide range of pool sanitizers. It works best as part of a consistent maintenance program including proper sanitizer levels, circulation, and filtration.

• Designed for compatibility with chlorine and many alternative sanitizers.
• Use weekly maintenance dose alongside regular sanitizer testing.
• Keep filtration running after application to remove dead algae particles.
