BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Recovery Collar Medium+ — Blue, Low-Profile Donut for Comfortable Post-Surgery Protection

BENCMATE inflatable dog donut collar is a soft, air-filled recovery aid that protects surgical sites while keeping your dog comfortable and able to see, eat, and move.

This inflatable cone from BENCMATE replaces rigid Elizabethan collars with a cushioned neck barrier that discourages licking and chewing after surgery or injury. It combines an inner air bladder and removable outer cover to create gentle support that stays out of your dog’s line of sight. Available in a Medium+ size and finished in blue, this model balances protection with mobility so pets rest, eat, and recover with fewer disruptions.

How does this collar protect wounds without blocking my dog's vision?

Instead of a wide, transparent cone, the BENCMATE inflatable collar forms a circular bumper around the neck. That padded ring prevents a dog’s head from reaching the torso and limbs while leaving the field of vision largely unobstructed. The design also reduces the common anxiety and clumsiness caused by traditional cones.

• Plump inflatable inner bladder creates a physical barrier around the neck.
• Low-profile height keeps the pet’s sightlines open for safer navigation.
• Soft outer fabric avoids chafing typical of rigid cones.

What materials, cleaning steps, and durability can I expect?

BENCMATE offers two outer-cover fabrics: a plush, soft-touch option for maximum comfort and a stretchy, scratch-resistant option that resists moisture and fur adhesion. The inflatable core is easy to deflate for storage, and the cover unzips for washing or replacement. With routine care, the collar holds up to normal post-op activity and can be reused as a neck pillow once healed.

• Choose plush or anti-stick stretchy fabric depending on your pet’s needs.
• Zippered outer cover removes for machine or hand washing.
• Inflatable bladder inflates quickly and deflates for compact storage.

How do I fit and secure the Medium+ size correctly?

Measure your dog’s neck circumference before ordering; BENCMATE recommends sizing for a snug but comfortable fit. The collar fastens with a Velcro opening at the rear and includes inner fixation straps so you can thread your regular collar through to anchor the recovery ring. If the collar feels loose, looping the daily collar through the inflatable collar helps prevent slipping.

• Measure neck circumference for accurate Medium+ selection.
• Velcro back closure allows micro-adjustments for comfort and security.
• Internal fixation strap lets you use the pet’s standard collar as a tether.

Will my dog still eat, drink, and sleep comfortably while wearing it?

Yes — the donut shape preserves forward vision and jaw access so most dogs can reach bowls and rest naturally. The soft, pillow-like surface reduces stress during downtime and can even double as a neck cushion to help pets settle. Always monitor initial wear to confirm bowl reach and adjust fit if needed.

• Open front area enables access to food and water dishes.
• Soft padding encourages restful sleep and reduces irritation.
• Low bulk prevents tripping and allows gentle play under supervision.

Who is this for: The BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative Medium+ (Blue) is aimed at pet owners seeking a gentler, low-visibility recovery option for medium-to-larger dogs after spay/neuter procedures, minor surgeries, or skin treatments. It's especially useful for dogs that become anxious or clumsy in rigid cones, owners who need a washable, reusable solution, and anyone wanting a compact collar that folds away easily when not in use.
