Bambüsi Bamboo 2-Tier Dish Drying Rack — Fold-Flat Countertop Drainer, Holds 14 Plates & Cups

The Bambüsi 2-Tier Dish Drying Rack is a fold-flat bamboo dish drainer that organizes and air-dries up to 14 plates plus cups and utensils while saving countertop space.

If you want a sturdy, natural-looking alternative to wire or plastic drainer trays, this Bambüsi bamboo rack offers two levels of drying capacity with a compact footprint. It arrives fully assembled, resists wobble under a full load, and collapses to 1.5 inches for storage—features aimed at small kitchens, apartments, and RVs where countertop real estate is limited. The design emphasizes airflow and drainage so dishes dry faster and the rack itself dries quickly between uses.

How much can this rack hold on a typical wash day?

The rack’s top tier has 14 upright slots sized for dinner plates and similar flat items, while the lower shelf accommodates bowls, mugs, glasses and utensils. It’s built to manage a normal family meal’s worth of dishes without overcrowding.

• 14 upright slots on the top tier for plates and platters.
• Bottom tier fits cups, bowls, and small pans.
• Opens to 17 x 11.25 x 9.5 inches—measure your counter beforehand.
• Optional utensil-holder use or place cutlery directly on the lower tier.

Will the bamboo frame stay steady with heavy or wet dishes?

Yes—the Bambüsi rack uses a wide crisscross X-frame and screw-reinforced joints to prevent sagging or wobble. Unlike thin wire racks that bend, this solid bamboo construction holds its shape and remains stable under heavier loads.

• Crisscross X-frame distributes weight evenly for stability.
• Screw-reinforced joints keep connections tight over time.
• Solid bamboo resists bending and tipping under full loads.
• No rubber feet required to maintain balance on counters.

How does this rack speed up drying and reduce streaks?

The open-slat layout spaces dishes to allow air circulation on all surfaces and channels water downward toward the sink, shortening drying time and reducing water spots. The bamboo itself dries quickly between uses, limiting moisture buildup on the rack.

• Plate slots keep items upright and separated for full airflow.
• Slatted tiers drain water straight down—less pooling.
• Bamboo surface air-dries rapidly after use.
• Less streaking compared with stacked or crowded drying setups.

How easy is it to store and keep the rack looking new?

The rack folds flat to only 1.5 inches and needs no assembly, so it tucks away behind appliances, in a cabinet, or under countertops. Routine care is simple: wipe dry after use and periodically rub with food-safe mineral oil to preserve the bamboo’s finish and extend its service life.

• Folds flat with no tools—ready straight out of the box.
• Compact storage for small kitchens, RVs, and apartments.
• Wipe-dry maintenance; oil occasionally to maintain appearance.
• Designed in the USA by Bambüsi with durable joinery.

Who is this for? The Bambüsi 2-Tier Dish Drying Rack suits people who want a durable, attractive alternative to plastic or wire drainer systems—especially renters, small-household cooks, and anyone seeking a space-saving, eco-friendly option. It’s ideal for those who value quick drying and a tidy kitchen surface, want minimal setup and fuss, and prefer natural materials that complement wood or neutral kitchen decor. If you frequently run out of counter space or need a drainer that can be stored flat between uses, this bamboo rack is designed to solve that problem without cluttering your countertop.
