Ball 64 oz Wide Mouth Mason Jars (pack of 2) are heavy-duty glass canning jars with included lids and bands, designed for preserving, storing, and crafting.

These two 64-ounce wide-mouth Mason jars from Ball combine durable, clear glass with BPA-free lids and metal bands so you can preserve produce, organize pantry staples, or display homemade gifts. Their classic shape, large opening, and American manufacturing make them a reliable choice for home canning and everyday storage. Use them for wet or dry goods, multi-step recipes, or decorative projects.

How do these jars perform for home canning and preserving?

The wide-mouth opening simplifies filling, straining, and removing contents, while the thick glass resists temperature changes during typical canning processes. Each jar ships with a flat sealing lid and a reusable screw band for a secure vacuum seal when processed correctly. Follow standard canning guidelines for best results.

• 64 oz capacity for large batches of jams, pickles, and sauces
• Wide mouth eases pouring, scooping, and cleaning
• Included lids and bands create a proper seal during water-bath processing
• BPA-free lids reduce chemical concerns for food storage

Can I use these jars for everyday storage in the kitchen?

Yes — their clear glass and straight sides make contents easy to identify and stack neatly in a pantry. They’re suitable for storing dry goods, refrigerated soups, layered salads, or beverages. The screw bands help stabilize lids for transport, though for long-term freezing or pressure canning consult storage best practices.

• Great for pasta, rice, beans, and bulk pantry items
• Wide mouth fits large utensils for serving or scooping
• Glass construction won’t absorb odors or colors
• Clear sides let you monitor freshness and quantity

What creative and non-food uses do these Ball jars support?

Beyond food preservation, these versatile jars are popular for crafts, gifts, and home organization. Use them as vases, candle holders, cocktail shakers, or DIY gifts filled with layered ingredients. The classic look also pairs well with rustic or modern decor styles.

• DIY gifts: cookie mixes, bath salts, or layered spice blends
• Craft projects: painted jars, terrariums, or storage for supplies
• Home decor: candle holders, soap dispensers with adapters, or flower vases
• Event use: centerpieces and beverage serving at gatherings

How should I care for and clean these jars and lids?

The glass jars are dishwasher-safe and resist staining, but lids perform best when hand-washed to preserve the sealing compound. Avoid rapid temperature shocks like moving a hot jar into ice water to reduce breakage risk. Inspect lids before each canning use and replace any that are dented or have compromised seals.

• Dishwasher-safe jars; hand-wash lids to protect seal
• Don’t reuse single-use lids for vacuum sealing more than recommended
• Let jars cool gradually after hot-fill processing
• Store clean, dry jars with bands off to prevent trapped moisture
