Built as a modern update to a long-lived classic, this replacement needle keeps the trusted conical profile that’s easy to fit and forgiving when the cartridge alignment or tonearm angle isn't perfect. Audio‑Technica has refined this design over decades, delivering a straightforward, affordable way to renew the sound of compatible record players without altering the original cartridge body.

How easy is the ATN3600LC to install?

Installation is designed to be intuitive: the stylus snaps onto the cartridge head and seats securely with minimal force. No special tools or alignment gauges are required for a basic replacement, making it a practical choice for first-time stylus swaps.

• Tool-free snap-on mounting — press until it clicks into place
• Compatible with factory cartridge housings shipped on listed models
• Fits both manual and automatic tonearm setups used on entry-level players

What playback characteristics should I expect?

The 0.6 mil conical tip provides stable contact with record grooves, offering consistent tracking across most vinyl without demanding perfect cartridge leveling. The conical geometry tends to present a warm, forgiving tonal balance and reliable groove tracing for everyday listening.

• 0.6 mil spherical tip for dependable groove contact
• Balanced, familiar conical sound profile suitable for many music styles
• Designed to tolerate minor tonearm misalignment while maintaining playback

Which turntables will this stylus work with?

The ATN3600LC is compatible with a wide set of Audio‑Technica entry-level players and select portable models. Check your cartridge model to confirm compatibility, but the replacement is intended for the cartridge bodies used on numerous AT-LP and Sound Burger models.

How long will the stylus last and when should I replace it?

Expected service life depends on record condition, tracking force, and listening habits, but typical life is approximately 300–500 hours. Regular inspection for wear and listening for distorted or sibilant playback will help determine the right replacement interval for your setup.

• Estimated stylus life: about 300–500 hours under normal conditions
• Replace sooner if you notice audible degradation or visible tip wear
• Keep records clean and maintain appropriate tracking force to extend life
