Artisan Zero FX-ZR-SF-XL gaming mouse pad — Black XL, knitted polyester surface, 4mm foam core for smooth glide and stable stoppin

ARTISAN Zero FX-ZR-SF-XL is an extra-large, soft-surface gaming mouse pad from Japan designed for a lightweight glide, precise stopping, and exceptional anti-slip stability.

This FX Soft (NINJA FX) edition from ARTISAN refines cloth-pad performance by combining a knitted polyester surface, a specially structured 4mm foam core, and a superior sucker-style rubber base. The result is a playing surface that feels smoother and lighter than many classic cloth pads while still offering the controlled stopping and durability competitive gamers expect. Engineered to reduce edge stiffness and resist curling, this XL pad aims to be a versatile replacement or upgrade for users who appreciate a QcK-like baseline but want a crisper, less sticky glide.

How does this pad change glide and aim control during gameplay?

The FX-ZR-SF-XL balances low-friction movement with subtle texture that aids aim precision. Its twisted yarn knitted top gives a light, fast glide while the minor irregularities in the weave provide predictable stopping when you need to micro-adjust. That combination suits both tracking and flick movements across a wide sensitivity range.

• Knitted polyester surface for rapid, consistent gliding
• Twist-yarn texture creates gentle resistance for accurate stopping
• 4mm foam core maintains a stable plane for sensor reliability
• Sharper operational feel compared to standard QcK-like pads

Will the pad stay flat and grip my desk during long sessions?

Yes — the FX series addresses common curling and edge hardness issues through lock-stitched edges and a specially designed middle layer. The rubber sole uses a sucker-structure pattern that dramatically improves friction with your desk, preventing slippage during intense mouse swipes. The materials are resilient against humidity and hand moisture, so form and grip remain consistent.

• Edge lock sewing prevents fraying and reduces edge stiffness
• Special foamed core resists curling and preserves flatness
• World-class anti-slip sole keeps the pad fixed on most surfaces
• Cloth surface resists performance changes from sweat or moisture

How portable and easy to handle is this XL soft pad?

Although this model is extra-large (490 × 420 mm), ARTISAN kept it thin and manageable for transport and setup. The flexible construction enables quick rolling for storage without compromising the pad’s structural integrity. It’s lightweight enough to move between desks yet stable during heavy gameplay.

• Dimensions: 490(W) × 420(L) × 4(H) mm — extra-large coverage
• Thin, easily handled design — folds or rolls for travel
• Durable sewn edge improves longevity during repeated use
• Non-rubberized middle layer reduces odor and material degradation

What makes this ARTISAN pad different from other gaming mouse pads?

ARTISAN prioritizes precise engineering and material selection. This FX Soft model combines a knitted polyester surface and a single-structure foamed core to produce a unique feel: lighter glide than typical QcK-style pads, with a sharper operational response. It also features manufacturing details — edge locking and a high-performance anti-slip sole — that are targeted at competitive players and longevity-focused users.

• Seven surface options across ARTISAN line; this is the soft FX variant
• Edge lock stitching for minimized edge-related problems
• Three hardness choices across the brand — this one is SOFT
• Crafted in Japan and used globally by precision-focused players

Who is this for? The ARTISAN Zero FX-ZR-SF-XL is suited for competitive and hobby gamers who want broad mouse coverage and a fast, precise cloth surface without the stickiness or edge issues of earlier models. It fits players who prefer a lighter glide with dependable stopping power, streamers or workstation users needing a large, stable pad, and anyone looking for a high-quality Japan-made gaming accessory that stays flat and stays put.
