Arm & Hammer Hanging Moisture Absorber — 17.5 oz 3-Pack Linen Fresh, Odor Eliminator & Long-Lasting

Arm & Hammer Essentials Hanging Moisture Absorber and Odor Eliminator are non-electric hanging bags that trap excess humidity and neutralize musty smells using baking soda, calcium salts, and activated bamboo charcoal.

These 17.5 oz. Linen Fresh hanging bags offer a simple, maintenance-free way to reduce dampness and freshen small spaces without a plug. Each pack contains three individually hung units designed for closets, laundry rooms, bathrooms, dorms, and other confined areas where moisture and stale air collect. The formula pulls moisture from the air into the bag while the combined deodorizing ingredients help neutralize lingering odors instead of merely masking them.

How long will one hanging moisture absorber last?

Run time depends on temperature and humidity levels; under typical household conditions each bag can freshen air and absorb moisture for up to 60 days. In hotter, more humid environments life may be shorter, while cooler, drier rooms may extend function beyond that range.

• Typical lifespan: up to 60 days per bag.
• High humidity: shortened effective period; check bag for collected water.
• Low humidity: may last longer than 60 days.
• Replace when the bag is full of water or scent fades.

Where should I hang these bags for best results?

Place the hanging bag in small, enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces where airflow is limited and moisture tends to accumulate. Ideal spots include closet corners, laundry areas near washers/dryers, small bathrooms, mudrooms, and dorm-room closets.

• Hang from a closet rod, door hook, or shelf bracket for even exposure.
• Avoid direct contact with leather, metal, or delicate fabrics.
• Do not use inside moving vehicles or small airtight containers.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

What ingredients are inside and how do they combat odor?

The formula combines baking soda, calcium salts, and activated bamboo charcoal to draw moisture out of the air and neutralize odor molecules. Baking soda and charcoal act as natural deodorizers while calcium salts absorb and lock in liquid, allowing you to see when the bag is spent.

• Baking soda: neutralizes acidic and basic odor compounds.
• Activated bamboo charcoal: adsorbs volatile odor molecules for long-lasting freshness.
• Calcium salts: attract and hold moisture until the bag fills.
• Non-electric: works passively—no batteries or outlets needed.

How do I dispose of a used bag, and are there safety considerations?

When the bag has visibly collected water and the inner pouch is saturated, remove and place it in household trash—do not attempt to pour contents down a drain. The product contains ingredients that can irritate eyes and is harmful if swallowed, so avoid opening the bag; keep away from children and pets during use and disposal.

• Dispose full bags in regular trash; do not puncture or open.
• Avoid contact with leather and metal to prevent damage.
• Store unused bags in a cool, dry place to preserve effectiveness.
• Not for use in moving vehicles or as a substitute for ventilation.
