AQUA CREST Replacement Water Filters for PUR Faucet Mounts, 6-Pack Coconut-Carbon, Reduces Chlorine & Sediment

AQUA CREST 6-pack replacement filters are drop-in faucet cartridges that use coconut-shell activated carbon to reduce chlorine, taste, odor, sediment and rust for clearer, better-tasting tap water.

This six-pack of AQUA CREST faucet replacement filters is designed as an affordable, high-capacity substitute for many PUR faucet-mounted systems. Each cartridge features a compact carbon-block core made from natural coconut activated carbon and is independently tested to meet NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine, taste and odor reduction and NSF/ANSI 372 for lead-free material. These filters are intended for routine residential use and should be soaked briefly before first installation and replaced approximately every three months, depending on local water quality and usage.

How do these filters improve everyday tap water?

Each AQUA CREST cartridge traps chlorine taste and odor, larger particles and visible particulates so water looks and tastes cleaner from the tap. The carbon block structure provides consistent contact time and adsorption for common aesthetic contaminants without altering mineral content (TDS).

• Reduces chlorine taste and odor by up to 97.2% in third-party tests.
• Catches sediments, rust and large particles for clearer water.
• Does not remove dissolved minerals; preserves natural TDS.

Which faucet systems are these filters compatible with?

The AQUA CREST cartridges are built to fit a wide range of PUR-style faucet mounts and are listed as interchangeable with many PUR models. Compatibility covers classic, advanced and horizontal PUR faucet mounts, but confirm your model number or dimensions before purchasing to ensure a correct fit.

• Works with many PUR Classic, Advanced and Horizontal mounts (e.g., PFM100B, FM-3700 series).
• Interchangeable with filters identified as PUR RF-9999 in user reports.
• Manufacturer part references used for fit guidance only; check your faucet model.

What maintenance and installation steps should I follow?

Before first use, soak each cartridge in clean tap water for three minutes to purge trapped air and prime the carbon. Replace cartridges about every three months or when flow noticeably slows or taste changes; heavy sediment or very hard water may shorten service life.

• Soak for 3 minutes before installation to flush air from the filter.
• Replace each filter roughly every 3 months, or sooner if performance drops.
• Follow your faucet mount instructions for secure seating and proper sealing.

Who is this for? Homeowners and renters who use PUR-compatible faucet mounts and want an economical multi-pack replacement option will appreciate this AQUA CREST set. It suits anyone seeking improved tap water taste and reduced visible particles without removing naturally occurring minerals. Ideal for kitchens, apartments, rental properties, and households that prefer to replace filters frequently for consistent performance.
