The AP APPLI PARTS CON-540-110 is a CD60-rated motor start capacitor delivering 540–648 µF at 110–125 VAC to give single‑phase motors the brief torque boost they need to start reliably.
This heavy‑duty electrolytic start capacitor is built for intermittent duty in motor start circuits and is designed to replace units with the same capacitance and voltage ratings. It meets UL certification standards, is PCB‑free, and is suitable for common applications such as water pumps, compressors, pool pumps and other equipment that require a high starting torque for a few seconds. Before installing, confirm the physical dimensions and terminal type match the unit being replaced.
Match capacitance, operating voltage and terminal type to the original part. This capacitor supplies a high µF value for starting and is rated for 110–125 VAC with a 1/4 inch male quick‑connect terminal.
The CON-540-110 is engineered to operate across a wide temperature range and at standard motor line frequencies, making it suitable for many indoor and covered outdoor installations. It’s built for short, high‑energy pulses during motor start and is not intended for continuous run duty.
This capacitor is suitable for a wide array of motorized equipment that requires a start boost. It replaces many OEM units with the same electrical and mechanical fit, but always verify physical size and mounting before replacing.
Yes—the CON-540-110 is UL‑certified (E479187) and manufactured without PCB materials. It’s built to provide reliable start performance when installed correctly and used within its rated specifications.
Who this is for: Installers, maintenance technicians, and DIYers replacing or upgrading motor start capacitors in single‑phase equipment will find the AP APPLI PARTS CON-540-110 a direct and dependable option when the electrical ratings, terminal type, and physical dimensions match their application. It’s intended for intermittent start use—if your motor requires a run capacitor or different duty cycle, choose a model specified for continuous operation.
Q: Can this capacitor replace other 540–648 µF start capacitors?
A: Yes, if the other capacitor shares the same capacitance, 110–125 VAC rating, 1/4" male terminal, and similar dimensions.
Q: Is this start capacitor suitable for continuous run use?
A: No. This CD60 unit is designed for intermittent motor start duty and not for continuous run applications.
