AP APPLI PARTS CON-460-110 is a universal CD60 motor start capacitor — 460–553 MFD at 110–125 VAC — built for short-duration starting torque in single-phase electric motors.
This electrolytic, non-polarized start capacitor is engineered to give your single-phase motors a strong boost during startup. UL-listed (E479187), PCB-free, and rated for intermittent duty, it replaces like-for-like capacitors with the same capacitance and voltage. Compact dimensions (1.75 inches wide, 3.38 inches tall) and a 1/4-inch male quick-connect terminal make it a straightforward swap for pumps, compressors, table saws, and other motor-driven equipment.
The CON-460-110 temporarily supplies extra phase shift and stored energy to the motor during the crucial starting seconds, increasing starting torque without carrying current continuously. Because it’s designed for intermittent duty, it only operates long enough to get the motor up to speed, reducing thermal stress compared with continuous-run capacitors.
The capacitor is intended as a universal replacement when capacitance, voltage range, terminal type, and physical size match the original component. Check your motor’s service label and the old capacitor’s markings to verify MFD, VAC, terminal style, and dimensions before installation.
Built to UL standard E479187 and classified as CD60, this capacitor is PCB-free and constructed for safe, intermittent use in motor start circuits. Its specified operating temperature range and tolerance ensure predictable performance across common environmental conditions.
Installation requires basic electrical skills: disconnect power, discharge the old capacitor, note wire placement, and attach quick-connects to the 1/4-inch terminal. Because start capacitors are designed for short bursts, routine visual inspection and replacement when performance drops or physical damage appears keep systems reliable.
Who is this for? Technicians, maintenance professionals, and DIYers who need a dependable, UL-listed start capacitor for single-phase motors will find the AP APPLI PARTS CON-460-110 useful when its electrical ratings and size match the original part. It’s ideal for replacing worn or failed start capacitors in water pumps, pool pumps, compressors, table saws, and similar equipment where a short-duration high-capacitance start boost is required. Always verify specifications and follow safe electrical practices when installing replacement capacitors.
Q: Can I use this capacitor for continuous run?
A: No. This is an intermittent-duty start capacitor (CD60), intended only for short startup intervals, not continuous run applications.
Q: What should I match to replace my existing capacitor?
A: Match capacitance (460–553 MFD), voltage (110–125 VAC), terminal type (1/4" male quick-connect), and physical dimensions.
