Aootek Solar Motion Sensor Lights Outdoor 120-LED 6-Pack, Black — PIR Detection & IP65 Weatherproof

Aootek Solar Motion Sensor Lights Outdoor 120 LEDs (6 Pack) are compact, weatherproof solar step lights with PIR motion detection and three lighting modes for reliable pathway and porch illumination.

These Aootek solar lights combine a 120-LED array, a monocrystalline solar panel, and a sensitive PIR sensor into a small, easy-to-mount fixture designed to brighten steps, patios, garden paths, and porches without wiring. Each lamp stores energy in a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is rated IP65 for resistance to rain and heat, making the set suitable for year-round outdoor use when placed in a sunlit location.

How do the lighting modes adapt to different outdoor needs?

The lights offer three distinct modes so you can choose between energy-saving motion operation, continuous low-level glow, or a hybrid smart brightness setting. Mode selection is done on the unit, letting you tailor runtime and responsiveness to foot traffic and desired night visibility.

• Motion Sensor Mode: lights remain off until motion is detected, then illuminate brightly for 15 seconds.
• Permanent On Mode: lights run at approximately 10% brightness automatically at night for about eight hours.
• Smart Brightness Control Mode: a low-level glow all night increases to full brightness for 15 seconds when motion is sensed.

What range and sensitivity can you expect from the motion detector?

Each fixture uses a PIR sensor calibrated to detect movement up to about 26 feet away within a roughly 120° field of view. This makes the lights effective for sensing pedestrian motion approaching a door, steps, or a pathway and reacting quickly to improve safety and visibility.

• PIR detection: up to 26 feet (approx. 8 meters) distance.
• Wide-angle coverage: around 120 degrees to capture lateral movement.
• Instant response: bright output for 15 seconds on triggered motion.

How efficient and durable are these solar lights for outdoor placement?

The integrated monocrystalline solar panel with PET lamination offers a high conversion rate (about 20.5%) for reliable charging in good sunlight. The cast housing and IP65 rating protect internal electronics from rain and high temperatures, so the lights can withstand seasonal exposure when mounted correctly.

• Solar panel: 1.2W monocrystalline for efficient daytime charging.
• Battery: built-in rechargeable lithium-ion cell for night operation.
• Weather resistance: IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust.
• Recommended charge: 6–8 hours of direct sun before first use for optimal runtime.

How easy is installation and placement for best performance?

Installation is straightforward: choose a sunlit location, drill a small hole, insert the supplied wall plug, and fasten the light with the included screw. Because the units are compact, they fit on steps, low walls, posts, or the sides of porches and gutters without requiring electrical work.

• Compact footprint: approximately 4.13 × 2.75 inches for flexible mounting.
• Mounting hardware included: wall plug and screw provided for quick setup.
• Placement tip: keep the solar panel clean and facing direct sun for best charging.

Who is this for: The Aootek 6-pack suits homeowners, renters, and small property managers who want low-maintenance, off-grid lighting for pathways, steps, decks, and garden areas. It’s ideal for locations where wiring is impractical and where adjustable motion-sensing and low-level night illumination improve safety, curb appeal, and energy savings.
