Anthony's Organic Cocoa Powder — 5 lb Bag, Unsweetened Natural Cocoa, Gluten-Free

If you want a large-quantity, pantry-ready cocoa that keeps recipes simple and pure, this 5-pound bag from Anthony's delivers. The powder is non-alkalized (natural), unsweetened, and USDA Organic certified, so it preserves the bright, intense chocolate flavor of cacao without added sugars or chemical processing. It’s a solid choice for home bakers, recipe developers, and anyone who prefers whole-ingredient, allergen-aware baking supplies.

What makes this cocoa powder different from Dutch-processed options?

Anthony's stays natural rather than alkalizing the cocoa, which keeps the cacao’s original acidity and floral-chocolate notes intact. Natural cocoa reacts with baking soda, so recipes with rising agents may behave differently than with Dutch-process cocoa.

• Non-alkalized, unprocessed flavor profile
• Works with baking soda for leavening in specific recipes
• Retains more of the original cacao aromatics
• 10–12% cocoa butter fat content for balanced texture

How does the 5 lb size benefit home cooks and small bakers?

A 5-pound bag supplies enough cocoa for frequent baking, beverage service, or recipe testing without constant repurchasing. It’s economical for families and small-scale food businesses while reducing multiple smaller-package waste.

• Bulk quantity for weekly or monthly baking needs
• Cost-per-ounce savings over retail minis
• Less packaging waste versus many small bags
• Convenient for recipe developers and meal prepping

Is this cocoa suitable for special diets and allergen concerns?

Yes — the product is USDA Organic, batch-tested gluten-free, and non-GMO, making it compatible with many restricted diets. Because it’s unsweetened and plant-based, you can tailor sweetness and dairy additions to your dietary needs.

• USDA Certified Organic ingredients
• Batch tested and verified gluten-free
• Unsweetened — control sweetness in recipes
• Suitable for vegan, paleo, raw, and plant-based cooking

How should I store and use this cocoa to keep flavor fresh?

Store in a cool, dry area away from strong odors and direct sunlight; reseal the bag or transfer to an airtight container after opening. Use within a reasonable period for best aroma and color — the powder won’t spoil quickly, but freshness and intensity decline over time.

• Keep sealed in an airtight container after opening
• Room temperature storage, away from heat and moisture
• Use in baking, hot chocolate, smoothies, and savory rubs
• Measure by spoon or scale for consistent results

Who is this for? Home bakers, chocolatiers, recipe creators, and anyone who wants an organic, unsweetened cocoa powder in a bulk size will appreciate Anthony's 5 lb bag. It’s particularly useful for people managing gluten or GMO concerns, those who prefer to sweeten and blend their own recipes, and small businesses needing a reliable, consistent cocoa source without added processing.
