Anthony's Organic Black Cocoa Powder 1 lb – Unsweetened Dutch-Processed, Intense Dark Color

Anthony's Organic Black Cocoa Powder is a dark, unsweetened, Dutch-processed cocoa in a 1 lb bag, ideal for baking, confections, and craft uses that need intense black-chocolate color and flavor.

Made from alkalized cocoa beans and certified USDA Organic, this black cocoa delivers a nearly black hue and deep chocolate aroma without sweeteners or artificial colors. Batch-tested gluten-free and non-GMO, it suits recipes that require both strong color and a neutral, unsweetened chocolate backbone. With 10–12% fat, it behaves like a typical Dutch-processed powder in batters, frostings, and no-bake preparations.

How does Anthony's black cocoa affect my baked goods?

This cocoa adds an intense dark color and a mellow, less acidic chocolate note because it's Dutch-processed (alkalized). Expect deeper color and a slightly smoother flavor compared to natural cocoa; you may need to adjust leavening when recipes call for natural cocoa.

• Produces very dark crumb and frostings for visual impact.
• Lower acidity—pairs well with baking powder-based recipes.
• Use 1:1 in most recipes but check leavening if acidity was relied on.
• 10–12% fat supports moist texture without excess greasiness.

Can I use this black cocoa in chocolate-making and no-bake treats?

Yes—its intense color and neutral unsweetened profile are excellent for ganaches, truffles, and no-bake bars. Because it’s unsweetened, you control sweetness and texture by selecting your own sugars and fats.

• Mix with melted chocolate or cocoa butter for custom ganache blends.
• Stabilizes well in no-bake bars and raw desserts.
• Works in spice rubs and savory uses for a hint of chocolate complexity.

Is this product suitable for non-food uses like soaps and scrubs?

Anthony's black cocoa is commonly used in homemade soaps and exfoliating scrubs for its rich color and natural pigment. Since the powder is unsweetened and finely milled, it blends smoothly into cosmetic bases; always follow cosmetic-safety recommendations when formulating skin products.

• Adds dark color and mild scent to soap bars and sugar scrubs.
• Fine milling ensures even distribution in lotions and scrubs.
• Organic certification supports clean-label personal-care projects.
