Animaru Disposable Compostable Cat Litter Boxes — Large Brown 8-Pack, Leak-Resistant 17x13

Animaru Disposable Litter Boxes are compostable, leak-resistant cardboard trays designed for quick, hygienic litter changes and minimal environmental impact.

These large, single-use litter trays (17" x 13" x 4") come in an 8-pack and are crafted from post-consumer recycled cardboard to offer a plastic-free alternative to traditional plastic pans and liners. Lightweight yet sturdy, the boxes resist moisture and hold clumping litter for typical daily use, breaking down in soil within about 90 days when composted properly. They can function as a stand-alone box, a disposable replacement inside an existing pan, or a convenient travel option for trips and temporary setups.

How do these compostable litter boxes fit into a regular cleaning routine?

They simplify maintenance by eliminating the need to scrub and sanitize a rigid plastic pan after each full change. Replace the entire tray when soiled, saving time while keeping odors and residue contained between deep cleans.

• Replace every 2–3 weeks or sooner for multi-cat households.
• Maintain 2–3 inches of clumping litter for best clump removal.
• Dispose in compost where permitted, or discard with yard waste per local rules.

Are these boxes durable enough to prevent leaks and spills?

Although made from cardboard, the design includes a water-resistant treatment that helps keep moisture contained and reduces tracking at the edges. The thick, molded walls hold clumping litter and urine for normal use without collapsing under a cat’s weight.

• Water-resistant interior coating reduces seepage.
• Sturdy walls support cats up to typical adult weights.
• Wide base (17" x 13") minimizes tipping and litter scatter.

Can these replace my regular litter box or just act as liners?

They are versatile: use them as a full disposable litter box for short-term or long-term use, or drop one inside a larger pan as a liner for quick turnover. Their size fits most standard and hooded boxes, making them compatible with many setups.

• Works as standalone box for travel, fostering, or temporary housing.
• Fits inside many standard/hooded plastic pans as a liner.
• Ideal for boarding, vet visits, or multi-cat rotation schedules.

What are the environmental benefits and disposal options?

Made from 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard and free of plastic, these trays are designed to be fully compostable when composted responsibly. They break down in soil in roughly 90 days, leaving no synthetic residue, though local composting rules and sanitary guidelines should guide disposal choices.

• Fully compostable material—no plastic components.
• Biodegrades in soil in approximately 90 days under proper conditions.
• Compost or dispose according to local waste and sanitation practices.
