Andis UltraEdge 2-Speed Pet Clipper — Black, 120V Corded with Detachable Blade & Quiet Rotary Motor

Built for groomers and attentive pet owners, this black Andis clipper delivers the power and durability expected in a salon tool while keeping animals calmer with reduced operating noise. The detachable blade design simplifies cleaning and blade swaps, and the two-speed rotary motor handles a range of coat types from fine to heavy. Rugged construction, an animal-friendly housing, and a long cable make it practical for multi-animal use or mobile setups.

How does the motor performance affect grooming speed?

The UltraEdge uses a 120V two-speed rotary motor that provides strong, consistent cutting power on both low and high settings. High speed is suited for heavy or matted coats; low speed helps with finishing and more delicate areas. The motor’s consistent torque reduces pulling and improves cut quality across different fur types.

• 120V two-speed rotary motor for variable power
• High setting tackles thick, dense coats quickly
• Low setting offers better control on sensitive areas
• Sustained torque minimizes hair snagging and slows blade wear

Is the clipper easy to maintain and swap blades?

A detachable blade system makes blade removal and replacement straightforward, so routine cleaning and sharpening downtime are minimized. The design allows you to turn the unit off before removing the blade for safety and to ensure proper seating when reinstalling. Regularly cleaning the blade and housing keeps performance consistent and extends service life.

• Tool-free blade removal for quick swaps
• Simple cleaning access to remove hair and debris
• Use OFF before blade removal to protect motor and blade alignment
• Compatible with standard detachable UltraEdge blades

Will the clipper bother my pet with noise or vibration?

The UltraEdge is engineered to run comparatively quietly for a motor of its class, helping reduce stress in noise-sensitive animals. Its animal-friendly enclosure and balanced frame lower vibration transmission so animals are less likely to react during grooming. Quieter operation plus steady motor speed makes clipping sessions faster and calmer.

• Low-noise rotary motor reduces pet anxiety
• Sturdy, vibration-dampening housing for smoother clipping
• Consistent speed prevents sudden sound spikes
• Designed for sustained, comfortable use during longer sessions

How practical is the clipper for professional or multi-animal use?

With a 14-foot heavy-duty cord and robust frame, this clipper is built for busy grooming stations, farms, or mobile setups where reach and durability matter. The retractable drive cap and rugged construction protect internal parts during transport and frequent use. Its compatibility across breeds makes it a flexible tool for mixed-animal environments.

• 14' heavy-duty cable for extended reach and mobility
• Sturdy frame and retractable drive cap for durability
• Suitable for all livestock and pet breeds
• Designed for frequent, professional use without overheating
