Amico 6-Inch LED Canless Wafer Downlight 12-Pack — 5-CCT Selectable, 1050 lm, IC-Rated

Amico 6-inch canless wafer downlights deliver bright, energy-saving LED illumination with five selectable color temperatures, IC-rated safety, and quick retrofit installation.

These Amico 6-inch slim recessed lights come in a 12-pack designed for both retrofit and new construction projects. Each fixture uses efficient LED chips to produce 1050 lumens while drawing only 12 watts, and offers a side-switch 5-in-1 CCT range (2700K–5000K) so you can choose warm to cool white on-site. The integrated junction box and low-profile wafer body make these lights suitable for tight ceiling cavities; they are IC rated for direct contact with insulation and damp-rated for use in bathrooms and covered outdoor areas.

How do these lights save energy without sacrificing brightness?

Amico’s wafer downlights use high-efficiency LED chips that convert more electricity into light versus traditional halogens. You get about 1050 lumens at 12W, delivering the output of a much higher-wattage incandescent or halogen lamp while cutting power draw significantly.

• 1050 lumens output at only 12 watts.
• Estimated savings up to ~90% versus equivalent halogen fixtures.
• Long LED lifespan reduces bulb replacements and maintenance costs.

Can I change the light color to match different rooms?

Yes — a built-in side switch on the junction box lets you select from five color temperatures: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K. This lets you tune the ambiance for living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, or workspaces at the time of installation.

• Slide-switch on J-box for immediate CCT selection.
• No need to return product for wrong color temperature.
• Colors range from warm white (2700K) to daylight (5000K).

Are these fixtures safe for insulated ceilings and damp areas?

These downlights are IC rated, so the housing and junction box can be in direct contact with ceiling insulation without creating an overheating hazard. They are also damp-rated, making them suitable for bathrooms, covered porches, and other humid environments — though they should not be exposed to direct sprays or standing water.

• IC rated for contact with insulation and limited ceiling space (requires ~2" clearance).
• Damp-rated for bathrooms, basements, and covered outdoor soffits.
• Not for use in locations with direct water spray or submerged conditions.

How fast is installation and what tools are needed?

Installation is designed to be straightforward for both retrofit and new builds. Use the 1:1 paper template to cut the ceiling opening, attach the house wiring to the included junction box, and secure the fixture with the spring clips — most installs take only minutes per light.

• 1:1 hole template for accurate ceiling cutting.
• Quick-connect wiring to the integrated J-box.
• Spring-clip mounting holds the wafer snugly in place.

Who is this for? These Amico 6" LED canless wafer downlights are ideal for homeowners, electricians, and contractors updating multiple rooms or completing a new installation who want bright, efficient lighting with flexible color options and minimal ceiling clearance requirements. They suit kitchens, hallways, bathrooms (damp locations), finished basements, and covered outdoor areas where IC-rated, low-profile fixtures are preferred. If you need consistent brightness, energy savings, and on-site CCT selection across a whole house or project, this 12-pack is a practical choice.
